    Im afraid I don’t know what a symptem is. Im sorry i have offended you by doing something differently to the way you do but please don’t attack me and accuse me of lying. I’ll gladly admit that I have only been long netting for about 2 years now; and that the only net I own is my granddads hand-me-down, but this doesn’t affect the advice I give. I would also like to point out that the very website your posting on suggests you use a compass On this page.

    When im out ferreting or snaring i take note of the holes and where the rabbits feed using a compass. I dont see why thats a problem!

    Good to know young people are still keen on ferrets. My first tip would be not to be scared of him biting you. He will only ever 'nip' you unless you really cheese him off. Sure, its a hard nip, but nothing deadly. If you plan to use him for hunting I assume you know someone who hunts already. If thats the case ask him for bits of rabbit, like the head or skin. Get he used to rabbit smelling like food and he'l be a great hunter

    You dont NEED a compass I just find it alot easier too judge wind on fields i dont know with one. The bit about google maps sounds intresting tho.. Just my 2 cents on net length, I like 50 Yd nets because I can fit them nicely in soft fabric (bag for life kinda thing) which is next to silent. Truth is you wont know which length you fancy till you have tried atleast one

    Well you take note of where the rabbits feed (south from holes etc) Then you use the compass to compare so you can better judge where to set nets. If they are south of the holes and the wind is blowing north, you had better get your nets out.

    My main bit of advice is buy to match your needs. If you plan on long netting on your own you might find that the 100 yard is better but if your with a friend 2 nets makes perfect sense im sure! As for bits getting stuck, do you plan to use the nets near headge rows? If so you dont put the net close enough to the headge for it to become a problem. I would suggest you take a compass to help you judge the wind. It doesnt have to be a good one, can even get an iphone app.

    When you do a breeding page, do us a favour and stick something about thinking if you really need the kits, have homes for them and are genuinely furthering the gene pool by breeding your ferret, then do it, if not. . . . don't. It's one of the biggest problems with ferrets. That was the main reason I wanted to make that page Nothing winds me up more then people thinking ferrets are nothing more then toy or a "easy" pet. Nikki I agree with Idention, send rabbits and nothing more!

    Im looking for some photos of long nets and long nets in action (etc) to use a website im building. I do have a longnet but its so old and busted up I dont think its a great image to send out!     Was wondering if anyone had any photos they where willing to give me to use a website im building. I have my own ferrets but I only have a crappy camara at this time. Any pictures will do, im really after good looking photos for the ferret homepage and ones of ferret cages (in case i make a section about ferret care).
