    With plenty of rain forecast for tonight I decided to go and have a Trip out on the lamp. unfortunately the rain didn’t come as expected or even at all, up on arrival of my first spot I gazed on the temperature gauge in the car and it read 15 degrees so with that I decided I needed to take things steady. I made my way through the first field which was very long grass, next field had been planted but nothing was yet to start growing but that’s where the bunnies were and so my night started. I picked a few off and made my way round my route, every time the dog would make a catch I stopped to

    If wallin hadn’t run out of steam so early on than imo there would have been a much different result to that fight. If I was Tyson I would be very disappointed that I couldn’t put such a tired man to the floor. I don’t think Tyson would even fight wallin again if he improved on his stamina.

    I’ve only had problem with the one dog and that didn’t occur until 3 years of age. They effected him a fare bit, his jumping suffered at times, he would pull up on some rabbits and not on others. My vet said there’s no way sore dew claws would effect a dog as much has I was making out, until he touched one and th dog almost bit his face off. Had them removed and never looked back. As I say so far that’s the only dog I’ve owned with dew claw problems

    Exactly what my dog was doing mate. Socks put me onto the bicarbonate thing, a tub last longer than a tin of tomatoes

    I wouldn’t have thought fat would get into the system like that bill, the dog I got now had problems with muscles cramping up after a handful of continuous runs which I expect is brought on by the muscles getting fatigue. Spoke to the vets they wanted to do all the usual shit that would cost lots of money, blood tests and other different examinations. Asked about it on this forum and turns out half a teaspoon of bicarbonate over his food daily cured the problem.

    Fussy eaters are hard work and a pain in the arse. The only thing i can think to suggest is get the dog the best quality of food you can so at least you know what little is being ate is decent grub.

    I think you are right A second dog in the picture does tend to have that effect mate. I’ve seen dogs that will retrieve balls, dummies when out in the garden or field but once they have got a rabbit then all retrieve training goes out the window.

    It’s a sad state of affairs these days mate, there’s a local shop to me that had to stop hanging hares outside because of the complaints from the tourist who come to the local food fare 1 weekend in the year.

    You may say that katchum but I’ve seen Plenty of dogs that don’t retrieve.
