Its funny you say that, my dog showed some interest in her for about a week 3 weeks ago then nothing. Her sister broke down but my bitch didn't.

My young dog I have here who has just turned 18 months has stopped retrieving, she’s had well over a 100 rabbits and use to either retrieve to hand on occasions or within 10 yards. Slowly but surely the retrieve after about 90 rabbits has gone down hill with a retrieve of 2 within 20 yards out of 14 last night. I’ve never known a dog just stop like she has, shes got no interest with playing with a ball or toy to practice retrieve training at home. has anybody got any ideas on how to get her to start retrieving again. got to meet the breeder of my bitch tonight who I didnt know from Adam as I've had the bitch from 12 months of age. He brought the pup he kept back which is the sister to my bitch, we had a steady walk around a couple of spots chatting away about dogs and generally having a relaxing trip out. Both the dogs had a bit of running and we ended on 17 out of the 18 caught for the night. Thanks for looking.

I use a plr500 plenty enough lamp for the rabbits. Got mine for £45. Cheap and cheerful led.

Looking mr Wilkes. Good retrieve and nice and steady around the ferrets couldny ask for much more at the moment.

I agree mate I thought the fact that I've seen leverets all year round was down to how the seasons have changed. But it appears its always been the same.

quick spin out tonight with the young dog, it all adds to experience and fitness. There's not a great deal you can put about catching rabbits so I will keep it short and sweet. Steady night out still reasonable light considering how low the moon is. Missed a few caught a few finished on 11. With her first black one. Had a cheeky slip on a goose just out of curiosity which stood its ground. Had a bit of a face off by the time I walked upto them. I realised it had been shot. They had clipped its wing so couldn't fly any more. So I put it out of its misery and will do someth

Nice video that. Its interesting that even then with the proper seasons, he said leverets had been recorded in every month the year.

I get on fine with led lamps just need me glasses on these days though lol. Some folk reckon the dogs didn't spot so well down the white beam either again my dog never had a problem changing over.

I was just wondering if there is any guide any of you use to feeding dogs barf as in weight of dog per weight of food, like they recommend on bags of dry food. Usually I give a decent amount of dry food with meat, i am going more or less try barf only for a few weeks just to see how the dog gets on. I will ad handful of dry food perhaps one day a week as I feed twice a day when working the dogs through the winter months.
