  1. I can't make my mind up who's worse...some of the fluffies or some of the hunting!! Treated myself to a gamefair this weekend, crazy mix, some peeps smooching their ferts, then ticks being pulled off working ferts after the judge pulled them up in the show class....One extreme or the other!!
  2. As long as the scraps aren't any made of any reformed/processed/salted meat, then go for it. Free scraps are always a bonus!
  3. Yeah, broached vials now need to have immediate disposal after use, according to Intervet (make jill jab in UK), they said it's due to EU legislation, but that has turned out to be nonsense. The only one who can give light on the reason why the shelf-life of an opened vial has been changed is the market licensing holder of the product, and it seems they aren't obliged to give an answer....! Many vet practices seem to be carrying on as normal and haven't changed their prices for the jill jab, Intervet haven't informed them of the change for some reason. The whole situation is very strange....
  4. Stick your head in a book....find it out for yourself I have used it and given my experience of PMS whilst you manage to confuse it with urine Y.I.S Leeview ffs...

  6. That reply wasn't aimed at you, but anyway. You believe that bringing a jill out of oestrus fucks with her head? I DEFINATELY DID NOT MENTION THE f888S with her head I SAID PLAYS AS YOU SAID TRICKS HER INTO THINKING How exactly does ending her oestrus cycle do that, after all it's exactly what would happen in the wild? HOW WOULD A JILL BE TAKEN OUT OF SEASON IN THE WILD? SHE FINDS A MATE HE TAKES HER OUT OR IF SHE DOES NT FIND A MATE SHE STAYS IN SEASON UNTIL THE DAYS DRAW SHORTER ! Working on your warped logic, vaccinations must also f**k with heads, after all the vaccine is tricking
  7. I have lazy one, but she's not fat. I dunno...middle life crisis for you hob? Keep him up and about...the lazy beggar....! atb
  8. Hormone Replacement Therapy for humans is also made from the urine of pregnant mares, nice eh?! Hormone Replacement Therapy for humans is also made from the urine of pregnant mares, nice eh?! WHAT HAS PREGNANT MARES URINE GOT TO DO WITH SERUM? ARE YOU GETTING CONFUSED WITH CONTRACEPTIVE PILLS BASED ON MARES URINE? Sorry can be made, not always! Y.I.S Leeview No I'm not, but maybe you are.
  9. Both dried and raw have their merits. I feed both winter and summer.
  10. Sounds like they have plenty of room and if it's worked well for you then maybe just put some extra bedding in for winter, if it makes you feel better? If your ferrets were nice and healthy coming out of last winter, then they must of coped just fine. Have a look on ebay, there are loads of coops/hutches for sale....you could make your own version! But if your ferts were of a good weight, thick coat & healthy last winter, why put yourself through the hassle. Abt with whatever you do though.

How exactly does ending her oestrus cycle do that, after all it's exactly what would happen in the wild?! Working on your warped logic, vaccinations must also f**k with heads, after all the vaccine is tricking the immune system into producing antibodies. It wasn't me who suggested jill jabbing a lactating mother, so unlucky there. Also look back over the thread, where did I say jills must be brought out of season using a jill jab?...no where. You however think it is better to deny
  14. Phenol is classed as corrosive & toxic by the Environmental Protection Agency. Exposure to phenol can cause lung, heart, liver & kidney problems and can burn the skin. If you use disinfectant contining phenol, really try to rinse it very well, if you can still smell it, then it can cause a problem. Best to avoid using it if you can though as it can cause just as much problems for humans as it can for the ferts.
  15. Maybe try keeping them off meat for a few days & just feed dry. If you then give a wee bit of meat after that and see what they do, they might be a bit keener if they realise the meat isn't on tap.
  16. Visible purple colouration underneath a possible umbilical hernia? Could indicate intestines coming through the gap in the abdominal cavity. Get a vet involved asap....
  17. Strange lumps are worth getting a vet involved. abt
  18. Sorry mate, it appears your leave your jills in season and they will be fine arguement isn't really convincing anyone. As far as boosters go, have you ever heard of antigens? If you haven't, then read one of those books full of pretend illnesses you keep talking about and you will be able to answer your own question. Modern science has moved on, why don't you catch up. your forgetting theres documented downsides to jill jabs ,spaying ect each to there own iam in the lea camp but thinking on a vas hob for next year but again read the documented downside on phantom pregnancys .science aint m

  20. Once again your stating YOUR opinion, others have stated theirs and you think they're wrong in your years of keeping ferrets Have you ever left a jill in season and had an adverse reaction from the jill? You'll answer NO because you against nature like to have them taken out of season for your peace of mind believing what you have heard/read MIGHT happen Myself on the other hand from experience leave them in season (unless I choose to breed from them) until they come out of season by themselves and have never had one adverse reaction caused by me doing this,if I had THEN I would have to cons
  21. OK they spoke to someone over the phone about 2 ferrets with no tails it showed them going to collect them from the guy but never showed these tail less ferrets Why? Like elmer fudd I've never known a ferret eat its/or another ferrets tail. Have you? I have seen and had ferrets with no tails and always the result of folk keeping ferrets together and letting siblings mate each other resulting in the whole litter being born without tails Probably sounds better to these people that these ferrets have eaten their tails? Y.I.S Leeview For once we agree, whether inbreeding or whatever els

  23. Jills should be bought out of season. If they return into season, then they should be brought out of season again until the breeding season ends. There is no arguement to defend leaving jills in season & exposing them to serious and potentially fatal risks, regardless of whether other peoples jills have survived.
  24. Which one's the tranny thats ferret100 on the right Nah, that one is better looking than me.
