    Looks good mate, only thing I'd have done is put an oil on it to bring out the detail of the grain before laquering. No need to do that though if you don't want.

    I prefer .177 simply because of the flatter trajectory at legal limit. FAC I'd have .22. If using a pcp and shot count would be an issue for you, remember that you will get more hots per charge with .22. Saying all that, if you can hit the mark with either it doesn't really matter. .177

    The ones im using i cut so they are almost maxed out at my normal draw length, just because i dont like the bump feeling of them maxing out. Really easy draw compared to doubles but more than enough for m/8 nuts. All clean kills but I have only taken a few headshot collared doves and pigeons with it.

    Screw two pieces together then drill the holes in the seam so you can unscrew and pull apart so it is reusable.

    Good topic this, I've liked the idea of making some since I saw someone do the drilled wood mould method Longers mentioned. If only I had the time haha.

    I'm using straight cut 25mm singles with M/8 my favourite combo at the minute. I dont see the need for tapering the bands. 1745 works great too.

    I promised myself a day or two out to Whitby or Scarborough over winter and never did it in end. Never sea fished before but wanna give it a go, looked a good day out.

    Its alright mate ive managed to get over it lol. don't know what oil was on it either but it smelt beautiful aha boiled linseed oil and Lord sheraton polish mate ;-)........ Lot of work went into that ........ Is that the beeswax type polish Longers? I had some somewhere if it is, can't find the feckin stuff though.

    Had a pair of em flying just a few metres above the car when I was leaving a show at Santa Pod last year, pulled over and watched for a good 15 Mins. Awesome sight to see but I'd used all my camera battery taking pics of cars lol
