  1. I like the shape gafer, how big is it though?
  2. I'd get that off YCH if I were you, you wouldn't regret it, I'm sure he could have it with you in no time.
  3. As I said before, there are reasons people stray away from them but at the end of the day, any catty frame is just something to stick your bands to. I like shooting flats, whatever it is if I can attach some theraband to it I know ill be able to shoot it. You will get on better with some frames than others but the bands are important. The standard Barnett bands are not the best, but they do work. Atb
  4. If your buying bands get longer than you think you need, so you can shorten them when you get comfortable and know how long you will be drawing.
  5. Awesome as usual, that red and black one is doing it for me. I can't justify buying a new knife right now but i'll be having one off you soon as I can. Atb, Wally
  6. Cut your bands to match your draw. No one can tell you what length you need. Cut a length and grip one end and hold it out like its on your catty, hold the other end like you're holding the pouch and draw it to your anchor point. Make adjustments till you have it nearly maxing out at your anchor and thats the length you want your bands to be from fork to pouch. Obviously you will need to cut a bit longer to allow for attaching the pouch and tying to forks. Hope this makes sense. It does in my head
  7. Sweet pics, what camera are you using?
  8. You'll never laugh like you laugh on acid
  9. My cup a tea that mate. Sat watching it in a room full with my headphones in pissing myself. "one man, climbing a tree to feed the birds" Brilliant.
  10. It would have taken me a week....... without sleep.
  11. Another minter bud! How long did it take
  12. If you really wanna strengthen your wrists just work them. Use weights that you would for grip and forearm strength. I've broken both my wrists and bones in my hands more than once riding motocross. I now have 16 pins and a plate all together across the two but I still get on alright. Shooting the catty probably helps.
  13. Start of a decent blog mate, I get what your saying about some ARMY gears sizing.
  14. I love that, it's really interesting to see whats happening down there when rabbits are hole hopping. Not what I expected to see. Great video mate! Atb, Wally
  15. You've made a right job of attaching them bands mate lol. What happened?
  16. Microwave nuking to remove the moisture is the best way of stabillising spalted wood mate.
  17. Thanks, I get what your saying, but if you're gonna do summat, might as well do it right.
  18. Thats what I was thinking, I might have a go at it just to see haha.
  19. I've never tried it, I thought about it but it seems that the fold along the length could only add some resistance where it shouldn't be as the elastic contracts on release. I can't think of anyway it would be of benefit. Thats just me though Chuck and if it works for you and all that mate
  20. Nice dogs bird, Bucks a belter . Atb
  21. I've never had one spalted like this before. I found the fork a few days ago, perfect catty shape. I removed the bark, cut to size, sanded it and put on a coat of Tung oil. I was working in bad light and I've noticed a few blemishes since, so I will give it a good work over then a few more coats of Tung I think. It's a shame, one side seems better looking to me. I'll be trying to find some more of this stuff though!
  22. Why dont you rate 12mm lead? You may not be drawing long enough. If they're GKJ's bands they should chuck it just fine.
