    A friend of mine caught a 10lb 01oz Eel on a fly on a very well known reservoir down here,at the time it was the second biggest rod caught Eel in Britain.

    If you take a look on....... http://www.guntrader.co.uk/GunsForSale/ you will find a full set up mate,but I would suggest a Tikka or a Remington and if you need to then you can get an after market trigger for around £100.Triggers are a very personal thing and light triggers of 1.9lb have been mentioned,well I have light triggers on all of my rifles and they snap at 12 ozs,now that is light,but,when used to it....fantastic! If you need to get a scope separate then you should be able to get hold of a Schmidt & Bender 8x56 for around £450 a good alround scope with excellent glass.After

    Thanks Tommy,I am getting there but it is certainly taking a while,I have the femoral nerve caught in my back,and it is giving me a lot of pain down the front of my thigh,and still have a bit of whiplash that catches me every now and then,but I have pushed on to get the cutting room up together now and it is going on line 06th April,and I have everything crossed.     I have killed and eaten hundreds of Jack pike and don't really see the need to stop now,in fact I believe that by taking a lot of the jacks out of the rivers you will get a far better growth rate in the Hen fish as there is usually a much higher ratio of Jacks to Hen fish. Martin

    To be honest each rifle has it's own likes and dislikes,but a good place to start is with Winchester 100gr or Remington Core-Lokt 100gr.both are pretty consistant,it's just whether your rifle likes them.Maybe think of reloading your own,and that way it is not only cheaper but it is easier to get something that suits your rifle.
