  1. A few weeks back the misses and I were asked to Farm sit for an uncle of hers. I wasn't looking forward to it much as I was barely working meaning I had to do all the hard graft whilst she worked. I'd asked about shooting there before and got the brush off, so never gave it a second thought. Anyway we went round to be shown what needed to be done and as we were walking out the door, the landowner said "I've left my air rifle out for you if you see any rabbits or pigeons shoot them, they are getting to be a real problem" well that stopped me dead in my tracks. I grabbed a pen and a bit of pape
  2. Banbury gunsmiths refill but they charge £10 and have to send it off site. takes about a week to refill. I didn't know Otmoors did refills. I've been driving to Oxford dive shop. They are very friendly and cheap. if a bit curious about the sport.
  3. It doesn't view well on my phone (Android) but its ok on the Laptop. The website is made by Wix which I think is flash based so I don't think you can use it with an Iphone at all.
  4. I've messed about with lasers before. Unless they are the really good ones/expensive you can't see them in the bright sun. But you can use them as a cheap range finder if they are mounted in line with the barrel. There are still better things to spend your money on.
  5. I had a lot of fun tuning mine with the T R Robb kit. Very rewarding in the end. It throws out the Logan penetrators/exterminators at pigeons very effectively. I do have to be careful on hot days. The sun can change the pressure as much as 3fps It will easily go over the legal limit if you're not careful. I found wrapping it in camo tape helps keep the temperature constant.
  6. Cheers, Have you used him, can anybody tell me the difference between the two? Tron - I have tweaked this but I intend to put some heavier pellets through next week. I will tweak it again if its still a long way under. Its just not worth going over the limit.
  7. Yep I tried that as well it was surprisingly easy. I've also been looking at John Bowkett. I think I might try him if it does it again.
  8. Thanks for everyone's help. Its up to 10.35 which is more usable.
  9. The O Ring looks ok. I don't think its the oil but I will try some WD40
  10. I think I was misunderstood. I'm not trying to break any laws. There is a problem with the power dropping off at the moment it wont go above 7.5 Foot pounds. Is there anything I can do to fix this myself or does it have to go back to the shop again.
  11. Hi I'm having an issue with my BSA Ultra multi .22 it was running fine last year, then I noticed that the muzzle energy had dropped to 10.5 fps. I thought this was a problem with the foot pump I was using and recently brought a dive cylinder. The gun went off for a service and they didn't find anything wrong with it, but it had new seals and a clean. I tested it again today because the pellets were dropping off the target, it had dropped again to 7.5 FPS. I've stripped it down and cleaned every part but that's not made a difference. I've been itching to go out hunting but I don't trust my gun

  13. I love my Ultra and it didn't take long to get used to the cocking system. Allround a very good gun.
  14. I've had a similar problem with mine turns out it was a spilt O ring in the gun. Nothing to do with the pump.
  15. Sounds like a good start to the day. Well done.
  16. I enjoy the hunting stories on here a lot and think its my turn to tell one. I've had my BSA ultra for nearly a year and I've spent a lot of time plinking and hitting the paper targets. I have also spent many nights wandering around my 2 permissions scaring the bunnies but never actually hitting any(I'm not built for stealth) This morning at about 0630 I was woken by a cooing noise, its not the first time for me, but its the first time that it has woken the girlfriend. She roles over and growls "just shoot the f***er" (I love her)so I slip out of bed and into the office and ease open the
  17. Just saying hello. I have been browsing the site for a while and want to get involved now. I use 22 air rifles for rabbits and woodies at the moment but looking to take the step up to shotguns and rimfires in the near future.
