  1. hello i was wondering if any one could help as my lurcher seems to be loosing its fur from his ears does any one know of any treatments that would solve this problem and also could it be ear mites thats causing this to happen.

  15. hello pal i make all my own fox traps and i catch alot of foxes in them all you need to make them is some 1 inch squared mesh galavanised if possible youll need 4 sheets of that i normally make mine about 6ft long and 2ft wide and 2ft high once you ve put them together i use cabel ties to hold them in place then weld once trap is finished once youve put the 4 sides together put a back on and a front then on the front come in 2 squares each side and 1 square top and bottom and cut out hole for your gate. make your gate slightly wider and about 2 squares higher than the trap as you will need to

  19. hello mike when i train my lurcher pups on the lamp i like to leave them on the lead till i find a few sitters then i walk the dog down to them keeping it on the lead and make the rabbit move before you slip the dog then once the dog see's the rabbit move let it go you should only need to do this 5 or 10 times before the dog starts to click on that it needs to run down the beam to get to the rabbit. i dont train my dogs to retrive but iv been really lucky with my last two lurchers as they both have retrived to hand. i would'nt start your dog coursing till its about 9 to 10 months old because t
  20. hello pal welcome to the forum i used to buy all my nets but now i make them all, if your wanting cheap nets have a look on ebay theres sometimes some cheap ones on there.
  21. why not try cage trapping and snaring together your going to get it sooner or later if you try everything
  22. hello pal iv trapped foxes for a few year now and been very sucsessful i use full frozen (bait lasts longer frozen) pheasents,rabbits or chickens when i set my traps i will put 3 bits of bait in one in the back one in the middle and one just outside the trap this method has never failed for me the very first time i set a trap this way i had a fox in after only 3 days of it being set. i dont bother covering my traps with anyhting but i do chain them up to a fence post or a tree as iv had a couple stolen in the past iv also had people setting them off and taking the bait and also people damaging
  23. hi there sounds like your doing everything right pal if ever my dogs get sores on them i use sudocream i find it works well. hope this helps.
  24. yeah i know what you mean it was pretty bad snow and frost where i live to. iv had a good season with lurchers, terriers and my traps i hope to have an even better one next season is there many rabbits where you live i find i have to travel further and further away to get a good score.
