im pleased that shes inspiring people to have ago at making them iv been showing her all the good comments left for her on here and it seems to be giving her alot of confidence to make them. keep at it pal you'll soon get the hang of it. atb

my ferrets were fine but i keep them in my garage when i checked on them last night they were all fast asleep in there hutches my 7 month old pup was not fine though he was running round the house barking all night scared stiff.

good pics its good to get the kids involved my 8 year old loves helping me with the ferrets and handling them my 12 month old daughter likes the ferrets to but shes to rough with them at the min she just wants to grab them hard all the time so i dont let her handle them yet as i dont want them biting her. i would say that ferret was a sandy pal but im no expert it looks similar too one of my jills. atb pal

nicely done mate. how long did it take to make and did you buy parts or just use what you had. thanks pal it takes me a couple of hours to make one i just make them with any mesh that i can get hold of for free the mesh is quite expensive to buy i think its about £60 a sheet 8ft x 4ft

how many people do not use ferret finders

when i first started out i never used locators and it was a good few years before i could afford one i only ever lost the one ferret while ferreting without a locator. there is more risk of loosing a ferret when ferreting without a locator but if you cant afford one at the moment its a risk you'll have to take if you want to go ferreting. atb for the season pal -

if your using young ferrets then they wont know what to do yet can you get hold of an experianced working ferret and run it through the sets with your young ones till they know what to do. atb with it pal

I started of knitting with hemp but finding the spunpoly alot hard on the fingers and harder to work with but this is the first batch of nets i will be making for myself still a novice.Liked the post with your daughter knitting that's spot on should keep her busy. atvb shaun thanks pal when i was making nets with nylon it used to kill my fingers so i cut a finger off a glove cut the end off it so i could get my finger right through it and wrapperd some insulation tape round it and used it as a finger protector it worked well no more blisters. atb pal
