  1. thanks pal ill put another post up on sunday if we go it all depends on the weather because its right on the sea front and it gets a bit to wild sometimes on there and this weather doesnt seem to be letting up round here it seems to be always raining or hail stoning lately although i did notice some snow on the fells today. atb pal
  2. its ok pal hes got some nice big fields that should be good for lamping and theres plenty signs of rabbits about i think were having a look back up on sunday for a few hours so hopefully catch a few more. atb pal
  3. me and my mate had to go and check our traps today and on the way back we desided to call in at a farm where we've see a few rabbits off the side of the road so we went and seen the farmer and he said that it was no problem at all we got ferreting and lamping permission it must be one of the easyest places we've got permission i wish all farmers we're like him hes got quite a bit of land but we only had a couple of hours before it got dark so we only got about quarter of it done we started to ratch the dykes with our terriers and it was'nt long till we put our first rabbit up and typical it ra

    hi there i have just been bought a 25yrd longnet for xmas i was just wanting a bit of advise on how to set it as im new to longnetting how many poles do i use on it and how far apart do i set them also where is the best palce to buy poles and end pins from any advice would be much appreciated thanks atb

  15. thanks pal the kit i took with me today was the one iv gave to my nephew so when i told him it had bolted some rabbits he was over the moon he'll be wanting to take out all the time now. atb
  16. i desided to go for a ratch about with the dogs this afternoon so i put them all in the car and then i thought id take the ferrets with me i took my good working jill and one of this years kits which has'nt bolted anything so far so i boxed them up and put them in the car got my nets and spade and off i went the first place i went was to a few fields not to far from home where i have permission its on an old road which is blocked off at one end and gated at the other i parked up and let the dogs out i desided to leave the ferrets in the car for the moment as my terriers dont get on with them
