if earthwork intrests you (i think the seed has been planted now) i would get out with some terrier guys on digs and see how its done and what it involves mate. youll get to see the highs and lows if your out enough and what can happen. then decide if you want YOUR dog to be doing it and if so if i was you i would bring in another terrier that you will use for earthwork. personaly i wouldnt use a family pet. keep that for fun days out ratting, rabbits and mooching about because if anything happens to it (and theres a good chance it might) everyone in the house will blame you lol

When you were out lamping for foxes pre ban what methods did you use for lamp shy foxes? Round our way everyone was lamping them but not killing enough so they were very hard to call in. Was there any other alternative methods other than squeaking that worked for you? Atb

Hey I don't know if this has been brought up before but what do you guys feed your working terriers, what's your views on a good quality complete food or is it barf all the way?

Checked my 2 adult dogs there, the depth size is 19cm on both. Is this a good size for a general terrier or do sone of you's like them smaller?

What do you think is the perfect height for a terrier dog and bitch? I know if it fits it's good but im just looking for a kind of guideline for what is deemed to big and what is perfect. Thanks atb.

What do you guys think of giving dogs raw eggs in there meals a couple of times a week. Is it beneficial?

Borders are worth thinking about, very intelligent and can b trained to a high standard for the beating and shooting. Heard alot of good things about certain jack russels aswell but I would agree a working stock bedlington would b up got the jobs listed, been pondering on getting one myself

The other day there were 4 young pheasant chicks that had flew out some cover the other day, when I tried to send the terriers in to get the scents they wernt interested, why do you think this is?

There's every chance it could miss something guys or just not catch the scent, or scents that they don't kno what it belongs to. Plus there still young so I want them to get used to going through the heavy stuff.
