  1. Smart and keen looking pup there ryan.. ....He seems to have thrown heavier to the bull side than my bitch but a nice cross if ya prepared to put the time in.....my Saluki x bull x grey is 15 month old,24 inches tts and has only just settled down the past couple of months or so.(Loopy and hyper when out mooching)...shes got pace, better stamina than my other whippet x grey and a great prey drive...shes far better than my mates first thought she'd turn out and im more than happy with the girl... I was warned about the bull traits in her but ive honestly not a bad word to say about her...i clic

  3. Hi fellas,id add to the thread also by saying id provide the dam (bed x whippet x gry-)shes a short (Blue)smooth haired,2 year old and id love to cross her back to beddy lines to bring out some smashing ferreting/rabbiting pups....all but 2 off her litter came out beddy type broken haired workers just she and her one sister came out very smooth and blue like a beefed up keener version of those "Laguna Whippets"--shes good on all ground and is fantastic with both fur or feather and will take more than is asked of her during the day...wont work her nights as shes too bloody fast and would smash
  4. Alright there bud.?...she's a cracking looking pup..thrown a lot to the saluki side and similar looking to my red 10 month old saluki grey x bull x grey..... Mine had cloth ears for at least nine months mate til one day she just started responding and fetching stuff back without so much as a raised voice or anything.... I was told off the lad who bred the pups that them saluki crosses were renowned for being stubborn but mine just took the pee outta me and my missus in the house....now she's spot on...plenty of one on one time and she'l bond well with whoever spends the most time with her..
  5. they look the business mate....theyve all got keen looks on their faces and nice condition....strong pups indeed and a credit to the dam and sire...plus the owners of course....nice workers, small and easy to live with.....Atb Salukibulljp....

Ps. her breeding is Saluki sire to 2nd cross bull greyhound....she's keen as hell so cant wait for the season to see her pull on some.....jp

  9. A cracking litle dog there Stroller mate....smart and built for its purpose, plenty of drive and bet his confidence is through the roof??..a very big well done.... ps i use a sprinkle of those linseeds over their dinner or a drop of cod liver oil and cheapish olive oil...its helped bring all my whippet x beddy's lost hair back and my pup saluki is forever getting praise for looking like shes just come outter the dog groomers as her coat is shiny as heck and is coming on lovely at 9 Months at 24tts....top condition thats a pain to keep up with but its well worth the time spent on em both.....al
  10. tell davie no probs here's a better pic. one of the finest first crosses ive seen in many years. hey davie When i bred my bitch...3 Years back..??? I did consider Beddy/Grey But as you may remember i ended up going with Wheaton/Grey although my absolute 1st choice would have been an Airedale/grey though they are as rare as hens teeth I agree she`s a nice bitch, but i have to ask where do you think that Black n Tan colouring comes from....??? I had one in the litter that i bred too { Wheaton/Grey } I would have expected this colouring if i`de found an Airedale/G

  12. Cheers Rocky1......yer hit a good point there like son. ....got some good ideas there...as i said above, im gonna decide over the next year on what way to go,speed or bulk but wanna get some true opinions instead of the bullcrap some "LurcherLads" wanna chat on about."MY Dog takes down stags for fun..etc.."....id rather listen to all different opinions and hopefully find a dog and owner that could pair up and start a nice set of pups off again to be top workers on some decent quarry.....
  13. Just interested to hear if any of you or your pals have any nice pups that have this strain.(SALUKI x BULL x GREY)...im into my 3rd year owning a pair of smashing lurchers and have a decision to make next season at what to do with one of my bitches.....Seems to be a bit of a trend swaying to the deerhound grey or bull (type) breeds in my local area but the chap i got my last bitch off was using the Saluki bull grey back to full saluki to gather more speed back off the pups.....? Myself i understand the reasons behind his wanting to throw over the Sire Sal and now i have my own Saluki x bull i

  21. any "decent " tips as to how often i should worm and flea treat my dogs?
  22. cheers mick.....nice to hear yet another decent comment....im sure all the boxes will be ticked come the weekend..
  23. nice one.....the boys im heading out with are well impressed with the fact that ive kept em out of any action for this long as it seems common practice up here to start a young pup off early and in my eyes thats a bit like forcing a toddler to wear ice-skates and not expect em to fall on the slippy stuff??
  24. Cheers for the sound advice lads........ as for the above{im only looking at getting both young dogs used to my pals other dogs for now and im sure the rest will come in due time once they settle down and watch the older dogs earn their crust.....i was unaware about the legality of runing down hare so once again cheers... Small steps will do just fine i reckon, just so pleased with how theyve both come on and flourished together, cracking personalities..!!!...I've not had a single bad comment on either of my bitches since i took each of em on and are both showing great signs of being some usefu
