  15. I'm looking for a mentor/wise guru to show me the way with all things Harris hawk related. I have flown and hunted Harris hawks on a paid day and would love to learn more. I'm currently reading all I can but ideally need practical experience. I'm not new to field sports and have shot and ferreted for the last 25 years. Any help available would be much appreciated.
  16. Bit late for me I got to the gates this morning and was told by a fella that it was cancelled.
  17. I came home tonight, some 24 hours later, and they were like Mr and Mrs in the hammock so no long term harm then. Thanks for all the advice.
  18. She is in his hutch. I've read the James McKay book on ferret breeding and he reckons 24hours is enough. I've just been down there now and both are relaxing in the hammock looking all loved up. It's the first time I've put ferrets together so I wasn't sure what was normal. My hob is one lucky fella alright, he's got 3 more girls waiting for him when he's recovered. Thanks for all your help fellas.
  19. It's quite swollen, she's been in season for 9 weeks now.
  20. I have just put one of my jills in with my vasectomised hob and wondered how long she should be in there with him. The first hour or so was quite viscous, but I'm told this is normal. I don't want to leave her in there too long in case she's raped to death but it needs to be long enough to do the business, so how long is enough? Seeing as it's bloody rough has anyone ever heard of jills being killed during the mating process. Hope you chaps can help. Regards Dave
  21. Just a quick message. I recently bought a hand held nv scope off pigwig and the sale went through like a dream. He did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. Great fella highly recomended.
