About 10 years ago my pal paid £4.5k for an imported supercar from the local police pound (it'd been seized in an operation a year or so earlier and couldn't be traced etc, so they sold it - seriously, you should check out the local plod pound, plenty of bargains there!). Anyway, it felt like you were in an aeroplane taking off when you put your foot down and he drove about like a nutter for 6m. He thought he was being a clever c**t driving with no tax nor insurance (why the f**k you'd do that with a £4.5k car i don't know). Anyway, he needed to sell the car as he was joining the Metropolita

he was a crook and a wrong'un. The aussie plods found that out, the first thing they did was check his national identity (as all police should do). He wasn't an Aussie (his own stupid fault by the sound of it) so they sent him back where the f**k he came from, irrespective of how long he'd been there I can't see much wrong with that. We should have our bobbies doing that over here. Foreign scum caught thieving and breaking the law... Send the fuckers home. Fair play to the aussies for telling it like it is and doing what most Brits want but have no power to do.

just 2 things about this Libya mess: 1 - If the government just came clean and said "look we've been waiting to get Gadaffi for 20 odd years since the Lockerbie bombing and now his time is up", i'm sure we'd understand. 2 - If they then said "we think it is necessary to seize the country in order to have the oil and it's associated wealth and bargaining power", i'm sure we'd all understand. We all know they're the two reasons why we're getting involved in an civil war (that's incidentally been going on for 20 odd years) where both sides are evenly matched (no-one is being picked on

I know i've already posted this, so i am sorry if anyone re-reads it, but the idea of someone burning poppies and it being seen as 'just criminal damage' etc etc, really grinds my gears. -

If it does come in it'll be for new dog owners surely; current owners are likely to be exempt i imagine....

look a few posts up at the one i posted for elderflower vodka a few weeks ago. Just use that recipe and change the elderflowers for sloes and vodka for gin. mind you, you shan't find any sloes until at at least October. Pick them in November and freeze then defrost them before using them

I went to some ww1 battlefield cemeteries when I was on the continent a few yrs back; I saw graves of boys as young as 14 ranging to men as old as 55 as far as the eye could see. I'm not ashamed to admit i shed a tear; i defy any man not to do the same if they went there. Seeing that really puts into perspective what those men did 90 years ago (900k British dead and 300k commonwealth dead) and again 65 odd years ago (300k british dead and 100k commonwealth dead). If i saw someone burn a poppy or defile a cenotaph i'd rip them to f@#king pieces and happily hand myself in to the nearest po -

A beast like that makes me feel a bit inadequate..... rats, rabbits, foxes indeed.... it must take balls of solid rock to get close enough to kill that and not fill your pants.

I used these 3 ingredients in a game stew last year, with one addition - 2 fresh squirrels. Finger lickin' good.

In my opinion Danny Williams was one of the biggest wastes of talent ive seen in recent years he will look back in years to come and have so many " if onlys "....very talented boxer who punched correctly, could take a good shot, knew his way around the ring.......but was far too complicated as a character to ever fully commit to the dedication the sport requires....shame as he,s a nice fella. I used to think DannyW was a wasted talent; blowing hot and cold, destroying Tyson then getting iced by Klitschko within 6m However, i read in a boxing mag that 18 months-ish ago, he had

seen a few of these about hanging round the outside lights comanche. Do they do any damage when they turn into beetles? They can be a problem as fully grown bugs: They can strip a bush or tree if there are no birds/bats to predate them (all the more reason to feed the birds and bats ). They do most damage as larvae (they stay as grubs for 2 or 3 years) if there are lots of them in the soil: They eat holes through the roots of shrubs. I've heard that moles eat them mind you..... Not that i'm advocating encouraging moles of course... Main problem is that you never kno

Up to 4m we used to put everything through a blender or an old mincer: raw meat, cooked meat, blood and fat, stock, dog biccies, eggs and shells, bread, some small bones, small amounts of veg peelings, table scraps. After 4m we just mix it all up for him in a bowl (obviously without the bones, he gets one of them each evening). Might not work for everyone but works for us.....

This wasn't a kids amateur fight at the local leisure centre It was a world title fight between two men ranked in the world top ten for the 10 stone division. Stopping it for a cut that size!? Do me a favour! Khan was always going to win and is a class act but stopping it for a cut that size is utterly shambolic.
