I think romany52 is correct with the 3 inch thing. Mind you, what does one plan on doing that requires a blade longer than 3 inches....?

So your saying the above is a lie ?....because if your not and its the truth then surely you are as disgusted as the rest of us so what would be the reason to say " here we go again " like discussing the killing of children is boring if its already been discussed before ! ---------------------------------------------------------------------...anyway as I said I'll leave you all to it. GOOD -------- sometimes its better to say nowt --- its very sad the way some peoples lifes turn out old and young nuff said from me - usual ramblings and your response here we go and the popcorn icon .

Jammed rifle - Webley VV
Tomm Parr replied to Tomm Parr's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
If you look into the hole where the filling probe goes there should be a screw which secures the barrel shroud to the air cylinder, undo this and pull the shroud away from the gun it should slide off. Now take the scope off and there should be 4 grub screws, undo these and the barrel should slide out of the breach and give you access to where the pellets are stuck. Im telling you this on the bases that the webley venom viper is the one based upon the webley raider, if not completly ignore this. Richard cheers Richard, my VV is about 13 years old. Is the Raider an earlier ve -
I don't often use weights and measures; I just taste and check regularly. Drives the missus mad but keeps me on my toes..........

don't forget the yeast. You don't add that to cordial, or it becomes wine instead.

The scabby face might be ringworm or perhaps skin lice?

I shot one with just one ear a few years ago. Shot another in Wales that had a head like a beach ball, twice the size it should've been; maybe had a bone disorder?

Somthing big creeping around my neck of the woods
Tomm Parr replied to billbroon's topic in General Talk
Too big for a wildcat or a marten, i think. It could just be badger... They can produce solid stools if they've been scavenging a carcass rather than eating worms. It could simply be from another dog though... Is the area where you found it public? A real conundrum this one! -

I don't know much about booth boxing but here is something you might find interesting: Boxers with a bucketload of bouts in a single year. 58…Ted “Kid†Lewis……………1911 58…Len Wickwar…………….…1934 53…Joe Grim……………………1902 51…Len Wickwar……….………1935 50…Len Wickwar………….……1932 49…Len Wickwar………….……1933 48…Len Wickwar………….……1936 46…John “Unk†Russell……...…1905 44…Len Wickwar…………….…1930 44…Harry Greb…………………1919 43…Young Erne………â€

I'd spend ages looking and make sure that the pic you use is a rare one. That way you'll never bump into someone with the same tattoo: It'd be a shame if you spent ages deciding on the right one only to spot it on someone else!

whats the problem with plummers ?
Tomm Parr replied to lloyd-holmes's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
you still spouting this bullshit!!! lack of knowledge but talking like you know is a dangrous thing. as for plummers, im sure there fine for what they a bred for. Not spouting, just posing a question. Nothing to get worked up over. -
Thing is though bench press is predominantly a chest/tricep exercise and most women will struggle to do 1 correct press up as they are just not particularly strong in them areas so its near impossible for them to gain any fitness that way. What you say about boxers is a myth....i boxed for many years at a decent level,it took me to become a bodybuilder years later to really get an understanding of the body.A boxer peaks his body for 1 day ( his fight ) and cannot hold that condition all year round.Everything is geared for that 1 day and timing is everything, hitting that peak....thats not true

whats the problem with plummers ?
Tomm Parr replied to lloyd-holmes's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
1 Plummer was a lying twat 2 Even yorkies will kill rats, its not a pussy's way of hunting but its not what terriers were bred for. 3 I'll agree with you on that one No I don't think its a pussy's way of hunting at all. I can't wait to get my pup into it! The problem is that some chaps do think that about plummers, that's half the problem. -
Not to pick holes in your thoughts mate....but the trouble with using ONLY cardio for weight loss is that most overweight people will run out of puff long before they run out of strength ( arms and legs as you call it ).....in other words their heart muscle is the first muscle to tire. Using weights can certainly aid weight loss....low weight high reps for toning, heavy weight low reps for building,as im sure you know .....i know what your saying about boxers, must say over my lifetime though ive found boxing folk actually have far less understanding of general fitness than many other spor

whats the problem with plummers ?
Tomm Parr replied to lloyd-holmes's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I get the impression from reading plummer posts on here in the past that: 1 - Many folk think Doc Plummer was a lying twat. 2 - Most plummers are used to rat, which some folk think is a pussy's way of hunting. 3 - Many plummer owners want colour breeding and KC reg, which is the bane of working breeds, as we now. I do know that a plummer doesn't actually know he's a plummer, he just knows he has a master to please. When he's a pup, surely he's a 'blank canvas'? If you train him to rat then he'll likely rat, if you train him for show he'll likely enjoy prancing about; if you train him -
If you want to lose weight I'd stop eating protein shakes and don't go near the weights other than dumbbells and press-ups. Doing weights defeats the object of wanting to lose weight, as it uses proteins to build muscle and increase weight. The easiest way to lose weight is to run, run, run and run some more. If your legs are gone due to age, a rowing machine is great. Remember your body uses two things for energy: Sugars/Carbs stored in muscles as Glycogen (used for quick release of energy); Fats stored under the skin and around organs (used for slow release of energy). If you run fo

Don't hate any football teams. 'Hate' is far too strong a word to use to describe an opponent in what is after all, just a game.

Enjoy is the correct word, its cracking stuff. We make some every year when the flowers start to go yellowish. We do it slightly differently though: We simmer it all in a pan for 20 mins then strain it, before setting aside for 5 days. Same result though, an awesome refreshing drink that lasts all year when frozen! We gave some as Christmas presents and it went down a treat. Try it: Hot with some elderberry jam, honey and a drop of lemon juice. Great for warding off the sniffles in winter; In a cheesecake; On a fruit salad; As a mixer. A truly versatile little cordial.

Lost my shooting premission.
Tomm Parr replied to LordGamebore's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
If he actually does take it further you could be f****d. He holds all the aces and it's not worth just hoping that he's bluffing. Bite your lip and apologise, just do what you must to make it good. It's better to swallow your pride on this one i think. -
no but farmers can be a strange bunch when lambing or rearing

burn his hay shed to the ground poor dog been put to sleep through no fault of his own been gettin wound up knowing no one is home. Sounds just like simple bad luck to me. The farmer can move his sheep when and where he wants on his own land. It ain't the farmer's fault nor the pup's. Shame the pup had to go though due to one mistake.
