Like I say, rob, there's more to it than just alum, salt and pickle. No dressing up required. You're happy with your way of doing things and that fine. I'm not trying to convert anyone. The fact of the matter is, as someone who knows, I'm not argueing with someone who doesn't. We could argue until next Christmas about this but like I say, if you're ok with your way and your recipthat's great. There are loads of different ways of tanning and curing skins - you could argue that the majority of them do the same thing too. Horses for causes, each to their own. All the best Sam

Hi Wildbee, Sorry for not replying, haven't been on in a while. I may be wrong but I can't see that 'chemicals you find in domestic water supply' was the answer you got to one of our guys here. I can however imagine that this would have been the answer to a question regarding the disposal of a White Tan kit as it is perfectly fine to dispose of down the sink so long as you're not disposing of more than a few kits at a time. Course, a full recipe list of what's in White Tan isn't going to be provided. It just wouldn't be done in the same way that Fairy Liquid won't give you the reci

They are very good mate. I know 3 people with them and am ordering one myself tomorrow. They are 100% waterproof and windproof and are guaranteed for 12 months against leaking and even ripping! Top clothing from a top company! Don't go for any of this other crap. I've just sent a ridgeline jacket back due to leaking after about 3 weeks use. This is why I'm only just getting now but wish I hadn't wasted my time with anything else in the first place! ATB Sam

Note to everyone, steer well clear of aigle stuff. Bought my first pair, they weren't waterproof and fell apart in about 9 months. Got I n touch with them and had the second pair for about 4 months and they started to seep water too. After a load of bull. excuses, they basically said that they don't warranty boots that are a gesture of good will. Couldn't be less helpful. Just a warning!

For Sale Pigmy Nanny And Pigmy Wether
Terrier Sam replied to Terrier Sam's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
Ah ok mate. Well to be honest, there are much better breeds of goat than pigmys. Goats are definitely not my forte but these are more for pets/clearing brush, bramble etc. etc. This is due to their handleable size. I cant remember the breeds of goat that are better for meat but google it. Do your research and you wont go far wrong. ATB Sam -
For Sale Pigmy Nanny And Pigmy Wether
Terrier Sam replied to Terrier Sam's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
Hi mate, Thanks for replying. As for meat, I'd imagine that it'd be the same as sheep so these would be equivalent to mutton. The nanny is still intact to my knowledge so would be able to be bred. The goats have now been bought pending payment and collection on Wednesday. If you're interested then by all means contact me and if they don't go on Wednesday I'll be in touch. ATB Sam -
Just in case anyone is looking for some pigmy goats; http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/312809-pigmy-nanny-and-pigmy-wether/ If anyone has any questions then feel free to contact me ATB sam
