  4. They're long gone mate. I think most of them were spoken for before they were even born If you're interested though, I've got plans for putting a beagle over my russell bitch next year. She hunts very well and I'm only breeding for my own use. PM me if it's of any interest
  5. I bet they'd be bloody good bushing dogs and ferreting dogs! Depends what you're after mate. If you're after a bushing or ferreting with a bit of speed then go for it! However, my experience is that if you bush out to a gun, quick dogs are a pain in the arse for running in and getting too close to the quarry this meaning that you can't get a shot off. Think about what you want, go for it and don't look back! ATB Sam
  6. Glad they're turning out well for you matey!
  7. Pups looking well mate! Here's mine out of the same litter - also just shy of 12 inch tts. Very happy with the way she's coming on! Not the best pic but she's never still for long enough. All I get is a blurred smudge
  8. Thanks for the info guys! I think it's general grabbers then! Can't warrant the price of BF's so I think it's general's it is
  9. Fully wired up ASX canopy for Nissan Navara D40 in grey. 3 year old. Break light, heated rear window, central locking. Also has opening side windows and is wired up for an internal light but needs light fitting. Selling as no longer used. Very good condition. Back up for sale due to confusion over colour. Colection only from near Llanrwst, North Wales. Offers around £500 I'm posting off phone so pm me for pics
  10. That's what I'm struggling with. I know that the BF's are good but my navara takes 255/65 r17 and they're 170 per tyre. I can't justify that to be honest. What other options do we have? What are general grabber like? Read some good things about goodyear wranglers too...
  11. I'm wanting to know opinions on the best all terrains for my navara. I've looked at plenty and looked on review sites too but they're all saying different. I've had BF's before as I was recommended them but now that I'm looking for a full set, prices vary dramatically between makes and models. Opinions please....?
  12. What type? How old? What have they done?
  13. Well done mate! Good news that! There's nothing worse than a fox that's taking hens or whatever and not being able to catch him! I'll have to try that stuff and see what happens. I did also try lamping. Been out a few times around there but the bugger won't come in so that's that out the window too! Next step: smelly dog food :-)
  14. Nothing mate! Tried a few things but nothing! On a plus side, he hasn't taken anything else as of yet though....
  15. Thanks for the replies everyone! I think I'll be changing that bait and try something else like dog food or car food this weekend and see what happens. Neil cooney, they were pet lambs that had a few problems along the way. Not a great loss lol Thanks again everyone. Any more info much appreciated and I'll update if I get any results ATB Sam
  16. We had a fox take a few weak lambs last week and ate them on the fence line between the fence and the wood. I took the trap up there, and put it over the fence in the wood right next to a pile of branches, baited it with a rabbit at the back of the trap and half a rabbit half way into the trap. I wore gloves so my smell didn't transfer. I covered the floor with soil and leaves and made it look the same as outside the trap. I then covered it in branches to make it look like it was part of the pile of branches. I would put pics up but I'm on a phone and it won't let me upload it. Th
  17. Thanks guys. He's all sorted now. I've ended up finding one for myself too
  18. For sale in for sale section http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/325888-daihatsu-fourtrak-for-sale/?do=findComment&comment=3701205 ATB Sam
  19. DAIHATSU FOURTRAK FOR SALE. Full service history (29 service stamps), M reg, 145,000 miles, 3 owners, MOTd end of June, 5 months tax. BF Goodrich all terrains on the back. Only had very light work. Cambelt done at 135,000 and water pump done a couple of weeks ago. Very good condition with the added couple of marks etc which is to be expected for a 20 year old vehicle. Great little vehicle with plenty still left in her. We just needed something a bit more practical for us. Open to offers for a quick sale but looking for around £1250. Message me for more details. North Wales
  20. My dad's looking for a bushing dog or pup. He's experienced with dogs but was out of the game for a while and after being out with us a few times he's after another of his own. He's looking for a spaniel, spaniel x or terrier x but may be swayed by something else. If it's an adult a trial is a must. If it's a pup then it must be out of working stuff. We're in north wales but distance isn't a bother for the right dog. Please reply or pm if you have or know of anything. Thanks Sam
  21. I've only had two experiences with buying older dogs mate but they've both been bad. Both dogs did a good job and I had a trial with both but they both had temperament issues. Wouldn't do it again. No one brings on a pup how you would. Tell him to put the time in and he'll get what he wants for the long run as long as he does it right Atb Sam
