  1. Just thought I'd put a few pics up of my pup from 10 weeks to about 5 1/2 months. Sowhat, sorry I haven't been in touch, been mad busy. Hope everyone is OK and hope yours is coming on well too. Give me a PM or email when you can.
  2. Each to their own mate. Good pics all the same Sam

  5. I have a 2004 Nissan Navara D22 for sale. 2.5ltr. 74,000 miles 11 months MOT 7 months TAX 2 new front tyres 2 months ago Electric windows remote central locking cd player It's had very light work - only been used to tow about 4 times since I've had it. 2 owners from new and previous owner was a plasterer who bought the car new so it's had no farm work and has done very little towing given the type of car it is. Comes with aluminium roll bar, 5 digit private number plate and black lockable snugtop canopy with sliding windows and mesh inserts. I've had this car since November
  6. Interesting to hear what people have to say on this. I've got one that hasn't had as many injuries as that and doesn't get hurt as easy as that but has got a knocked up toe that took about 6-8 weeks to heal. Interesting to hear what people do to condition their dogs feet. ATB Sam
  7. Ha ha no chance pal ,and northernlite she is definately still blue Bloody hell mate, I thought that the first pic was mine then! She's completely different now! no blue eyes or anything lol Sam

  9. Well he's a great looking dog dave We're really happy with the pup so far. Really switched on. We've only had him since Saturday, after about 5 minutes a day of fun easy-going training he's sitting to a hand signal alone. He's a good steady pup and just what we expected after seeing the dam and the rest of Geoff and Hazels dogs Keep you posted Sam
  10. Bloody hell He is! What cross is he troter? I'll get a couple more up once I manage to get one where he doesn't just look like a dark splodge across the screen! Oh and Geoff, he's been good as gold mate I'll keep you updated as promised and as I said, we'll have to meet up over next winter and compare the two - would be interesting to see! ATB Sam
  11. I just wanted to say a big thank you to G+H for everything from the pics you have sent from day one up until bringing the pup over on Saturday, it's all been much appreciated and I couldn't have asked for nicer people to deal with. He's settling in great and isn't phased by anything. I've attached a couple of pictures, the fist is from about 4pm on Saturday and the second is from this morning. Thanks again and ATB Sam
  12. The only thing I'd say is just be careful and have another dog to hand to lend a hand. I wouldn't do it to be honest because it might put it off or swing it right the other way. ATB Sam
  13. I'm glad we're all in the same boat because mine has had plenty! 1 thing being the missus' lunch form one of those water resistant lunch boxes - the one with clips on all four sides. And unwrapped sandwiches that were wrapped in tin foil without any rips. ATB Sam
  14. I had it last weekend. where there was a brow in the field that I hadn't seen an he came back with one. I had one earlier on in the season where a bunny had run into a load of marshy grass. I thought it'd gone through so I called the dog and he started (what looked like) hunting up so I turned the lamp off to go and pull him away and as I was on my way I heard the squeelin. One of those moments when you can't help but smile but I don't like me or them not bein able to see where their goin Sam
  15. I'm not on about belting a dog, just giving it a physical point of reference to let it know it's out of line. You say 'Hitting is an action that doesn't compute in the canine mind'. I'm sure you well know that a dog is clever enough to realise that there is a difference between themselves and humans, and being one of natures most adaptable beasts with soon learn.. It's all about what works for the individual dog by the individual master.. I deffinately don't condone beating. If anything, I'd be the first in line to give someone of that way a taste of it themselves. I have seen guy

  18. I had the same on friday night mate. He must have had atleast 10 decent runs but couldn't catch a cold! yet the week before he picked up 4 out of 6 runs from the same place. I think, like everyone says, they have their off days and keep at it so long as you know their capable of better! ATB with her mate

  21. I read an article in the C.W. a few months back now that said that most scars, until healed up properly (around a couple of months), can be identified. Older than that it is impossible to say 100% or enough to be used as evidence but even if they were unidentifiable they would still take into consideration the nature and positioning of the scars. What a lot of people forget is that you don't have to work dogs to know what certain scars in certain places mean. People will and do research these things. I don't think some people realise that postin certain pics means that said pics can
