  1. I did the same as you mate As soon as he was fine to go out after jabs we were in sheep fields every day. Remember this too (because this gets my goat when other people don't); if the dog looks at stock and lifts his ears, he is now in predatory mode and when you see this coming on now is the time to nip it in the bud. Not when he starts running after them - it's too late then because he's already thought about it. People say 'my dogs just chased sheep but never has before' but the truth is that he may have been eyeing them up for months! Had a lad like that around us recently.
  2. It wasn't bad. Plenty of bunnies about at night so we were disappointed to only get 3. He is coming on well mate. He's had 10 out of 14 over the past 3 times I've had him out. Hows Milly getting on? Any recent pics? ATB Sam Great stuff Milly is coming on fine, although as you know,I'm abit to long in the tooth for lamping, when I hear the wind howling I just want to get under the bed clothes She really enjoys our daytime mooches though and she's a pleasure to take out. She's a quick learner too and she listens to me. This is the most recent pic and the one I'm t
  3. Very nice mate! Looks a lot like mine. Mine is sooty sam and laguna lines. As you say, not the quickest in a straight line, brilliant on the turn. Great ferreting dog and very bright I haven't got any pictures on this computer but I put this thread up last night http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/275206-good-days-ferreting-with-bunny-buster-and-the-dogs/ Sam
  4. Depends on the dog though, one of mine is is nearly 3 and i have never had to take him so I would be quids in with him. The other is only 17months and 600 quid wouldnt even scratch the surface True enough mate. It's a gamble either way... Sam
  5. Why not put the same amount of money in a savings account?? If nothing happens then you still have your money. I have a 3 year old whippet and he's never been to the vets bar jabs and microchip so that'd be 600 quid down the drain if I took out insurance. Just my opinion mate Sam

  7. Very good mate! We've had the long nets out a couple of times but haven't been ferreting that much to be honest. Lamping is what I prefer The offer still stands if you're down our way though mate ATB Sam
  8. Hi Charlie, Yes, got them working thanks mate. Did you get yours?
  9. Had a good day yesterday with Bunny Buster, his dog (beddy whipgrey x bull whippet) and my 3 (Whippet, white terrier and beddy whippet grey) I won't ramble on. Day started well but only ended up with 3 rabbits and then 3 pheasant donated by the farmer . Good day all the same and dogs + ferrets worked well. No end of day pics because we didn't think that 3 rabbits was worthy of it
  10. I've tried red mills but I'm on Wafcol now. It seems to keep them better. Good shiny coat etc. ATB Sam
  11. The best thing to do is to just be sensible within the law (unless you're out to prove a point!). If you've got a non-locking knife that's under 3 inches (perfectly legal to carry anywhere bar airports, train stations etc.) for rabbiting/shooting/hunting/ then keep it with your other kit on the way home instead of in your pocket. From our experience, coppers don't like it when you are stopped (for any reason) and have a knife on your person even if it's perfectly legal to do so. Anything other than a folding, non-locking knife under 3 inches should be carried with the rest of your kit
  12. Hi Woz, No problem mate. As I said, We manufacture it. We would change anything on it that didn't work to our customers satisfaction. This is why we offer the guarantee to replace them if they are defective, no matter how old. Obviously, it it's returned to us and looks like it's done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson then the chances are whatever caused it to look like that played a big part in it not working to it's full potential but apart from that it's all good Any problems please PM me or contact us on the details in my previous post. ATB Sam
