just apply for variation i had .22 and .223 with mentor condition only had fac for 10 months but been hunting with mentor for bout 15 years so he decided to write a letter explaining how safe he felt i was with a firearm i sent that in with a variation for fac shot gun and another .22 rf 3 weeks later had certificate back mentor condition taken off new slots for .22 and fac shotgun plus they also gave me open certificate for both .22 . the moral of the story is you dont ask you dont get the answers
