Looks are only important if you are a rosette hunter, I think its f***ing ugly but if it runs like a good'un then it is a good 'un. By the way I am only taking the piss. Best of luck with your dog - should be mighty useful

if there is an underlying problem you need to get it x rayed. if not put up with her limps and give her time to heal. good diet and rest might come good but your first point of call is the x ray. I have a whippet cross that got her front leg smashed to pieces when she was 4 months old. 99% said put her down. I insure my dogs and gave her the chance - she is now 3 - last winter caught me masses of rabbits and isn't scared to run the fast stuff. Her gait is a bit odd but she fixed up and will now go from strength to strength. if she ain't insured its a different question - my bitches vet bill wa

They are coming up 9 months - those that have had the time put into them are very biddable, loyal, affectionate, come back on the whistle etc. You'll see the otehr pics on here with Swaino and the others teaching retrieve and jump. This girl needs the basics instilling in her a bit more but she will come good.

I'll put my head above the parapet - feel free to shoot me down BUT poodles are a working breed, are used massively in France as retrievers, they are tough as boots and relentless. Having seen them retrieving geese out of frozen estuaries and being incredibly intelligent - In theory no reason why this cross would not produce some strong and biddable running dogs. THe price is a joke but the breeding might not be so daft as it originally sounds.
