  1. I suppose it depends on where you're based, but around here a chainsaw op would be on around £7.50-£10 ph a climber around £9-£12 ph,team leader on about £12-£15 ph,thats working for someone,i suppose working for yourself the skies the limit depending on the amount of work you can get
  2. Hi mate,im a tree surgeon,it depends on what branch(no pun) of tree surgery you want to get into.If you want to work for the utilty side of things,eg clearing power lines, railways, waterways etc the training is fairly basic, you do a week long chainsaw course involving felling, saw maintenence etc at a cost of around £500,this will qualify you for a groundsman/chainsaw op,then you can do the climbing/ariel rescue course which is also a week long and around £500,plus using a chainsaw from a rope and harness, this will qualify you as a climber. Then you will need to do a course for the utility comp

When i was a kid a mate of my dads got me into the game and took me out but a yr later he died of a brain tumor. So there was i full of enthusiasm but not much knowledge.Could i feck get anyone else to take me out,and there were a few people around here who were into it then,so i plodded on and learnt the hard way on my own,i was about 7 then,im 30 now and only just started going out with a few other people, but when your young nobody wants you tagging on,shame really, although i learned a lot doing it the hard way im sure i would have lear

  6. There's a fair bit of Buck's breeding in there in the past, don't have the max dog on the ped i have but maybe out of same lines??
  7. Its people trying to buy ready made dogs, that is keeping the scums trade going. Every one should get a pup from a good working back ground and bring it up to how they want it. High prices for dogs and pups just encourages these scum to take our dogs. Stop the trade by giving your pups to poeple that are willing to work them. If there is no profit to be made they will not take them. Working terriers are made for work, not profit........................ Good post smellydog, ive said it on here before,be carefull what your buying and who your buying it off, someone is keeping these feckers

  14. Bit of a sore point that Tawny, went to see fella we got pups off other day, decided to see which way sat nav took me....ended up at someones house about 5 miles away...told you before mate,im not good with all this new technology
  15. I think the main reason Tawny is that nobody can say the name of any Welsh towns! Patterdale is so much easier to say than Tranffechlafechanfuckyfuckfeck!!!
  16. Looking good old nog, does it have some beddy in it?
  17. You keep off that Jack Daniels Tawny...you'll only end up on here abusing folk!!
  18. Why thank you Tawny! Yeah she is still a fit healthy dog for her age, something that should be considered before you think of mating KevO, but if the bitch is fit and a good enough worker to consider breeding from then it might be worth a risk, just be prepared for possible vet bills for cesearian, altough you might have no problems at all.Has the bitch whelped before?
  19. I recently had a pup out of a 9 1/2 yr old bitch, she only had the one but i think the timing of the mating played a part in that, she was one of those bitches who barely showed signs of being in season so getting it right was'nt as easy as normal. The pup went overdue by 6 days and was delivered c-section.So it can be done but more risk of problems occuring.
