I looked into it a few years ago,you still need planning permission etc where it would have to fit in with its surroundings,but if you can find the right plot your laughing,ive been in one and there as snug as any house,i'd still love to own one but prob always be just a dream

Some more info here Seems if your careful you can test dog for sensitivity,but as it says its hard to judge the dose of something designed for a much larger animal so just be careful Whoops just seen socks link to the same site

Update on the wee red man,14 months now,dug 5 already,not put a foot wrong yet,figers crossed he keeps it up. Not got a recent pic of black bitch yet i'll see if i can get one soon.

An earth might be full of scent but a good dog can read it like a book.Watch a pack of hounds pick up a line and not only follow it but know which direction its traveling by the scent getting stronger or weaker.A dogs sense of smell is like our eye sight,a room might be full of people but you can still pick out a certain person. A terrier without nose would be about as much use as tits on fish!!

Like i say im no gunsmith so i may be wrong,i think i read it somewhere,but i think the area where the forcing cones are is'nt as hard as the rest of the barrel and cutting it back too far can cause longitude splits,i suppose it depends how much your wanting off really.Is Baldie not on here anymore? He knew his stuff about things like that

Im no gunsmith levs but i think the way the barrel is tempered would be different on a shot gun to that of a pistol,ive heard of people that have done it as DS suggested and had the barrel burst on them due to it weakening,obviously a gunsmith could give you more info tho.I have a number of a dealer who does pistols,not sure of the price of a .410 but he does .22 pistols for around £100-£150.
