If you intend to eat it, headshots keep the most meat usable. Things with big heads, hit them in the head, pigeons have small heads and are harder to it but most satisfying!

Im thinking something in the chamber like rust particles somehow igniting when fired. Fire a few shots into something that might catch the particles, close range at white paper or cloth etc.

I have thought of this too, go to the local gunshop and see how many .20 pellets are on the shelf, how many .177's and .22's. That might decide the matter for you. Consider buying a spare barrel, one in .177 one in .22 like the dual calibre Beemans?

Can anyone tell me where I can get a Sheridan seal kit in Australia ! I have tried everywhere from Ebay, (but they dont ship to Australia) to several gun-parts shops who have everything except they dont recognise the log on details they send me! and then if I ask too many questions they dont reply any more ( I would be the same if I had their shoes on!) Anyone help me here with a kit? Bang! Ken

Young foxes (Yoxes) make very strange 'that must be a ghost' noises, whelping sort of noises! Seen them doing it on my back step chasing the cats dinnner and on the farm where I am ATM.

If you do ring it will be alright, you should not have bothered but dont ring and it will be a size 11 fair up the quoit, followed by a really loooong lecture about ringing up first!

Their local distributor is Potter Firearms, and ATM they are only bringing in the precharged Mk1 and Mk2 in.22 but I dont think I want the bother of a scuba tank etc.

Well I cant see my sheridan Co2 being fixed in the near future, so I thought I would get a Theoben Crusader in .20 Anyone know a dealer in Australia who carries them? Some dealers have the PCP's but it seems none have the gas ram. Those who import the Weihrauch dont import the 90, only springers. Anyone know a dealer in Australia who carrys them?

What was it your mate had to reform the pellets, any chance of a photo? I have tried rolling the .22 between two pieces of flat steel till they fit in the muzzle of my Sheridan but since its not going I cant tell if they will be any good. Also a mate of mine had a sheridan and he found a brand of pellet that the head fitted in the breech and then he was able to force them in with the bolt, they seemed to work too.

Hi All Apart from a shed full of things that dont work, my Sheridan Co2 needs a new valve guide and some idea of how to reseal it. Does anyone know if Mac1 will redo just the valve, I dont want to send the whole gun (less stock) to the USA from Australia. Does anyone have photos of the complete valve ready to go it the rifle? I would like to buy a replacement valve guide or the complete valve or a hotted up one, if there is such a thing. Next part is bulk filling it, perhaps! cheers Ken

There is a lot of info on Youtube, type in sparrow trap, myna trap etc. Basically a bird cage with a trapdoor thing so when the bird trys to get the food left as bait they fall inside and cant get out, or designed so tehy dont mind entering the trap but cant get out. The ideal is a caller bird, (the first one you catch) to call them in and they are more confident going into the trap.

Gecado with a G, sorry about that! I think the name is pronounced She-card-oh. Here in NSW, Australia a new permit for each purchase, two guns = two permits etc, $30 each permit. Power is not mentioned with air guns. Strangely I can get a permit called a 'Class A or B' to buy an air rifle, then go and buy a rimfire or shotgun with that permit which includes a 17HMR or .22WRM. With a permit for a rimfire or shotty, go and buy an air rifle with the permit. I have to tick one of those boxes on the form or they might send it back. cheers Ken

Well thanks for the interest, Over time I have noticed a few things that were revisited after years of being in production with a better solution coming out of it. Also I dont not have a working air rifle at the moment my Sheridan Co2 needs resealing and I am wondering what to buy, Co2, gas ram (or a springer to convert to gas ram) or PCP when my next permit arrives. We need a current permit here in Australia, cant just walk in and buy one. The older styles rifle appeal to me more than the modern, generally big heavy rifles. I was looking at a Cedado model 50 in .177 and I wonder if

I have a technical quizz! Would there be any difference if the gas ram was inverted and the tube part of it was pushed towards the barrel rather than the rod? If one end was lighter than the other I expect it would push it faster hence slightly quicker lock time? I sit back and watch!

Hi all, Pleased to be on the forum, my passion is air rifles and shooting those annoying starling and Mynas. I am trying to get a Sheridan Co2 working properly. I had a Sharp Innova 2 for a while but sick of trying to load it with the little port they have, so I sold it. I would appreciate any help with the valve in my Sheridan and I am after a replacement valve guide or photos of a complete valve with the seals in place. Can anyone help with this? cheers Ken
