  6. it isn't difficult to write a book, most people have one in them, the problems begin when you try to sell them, e mails and phone calls go without reply, "there is no demand for that kind of book" when they do (I have 190000 hits on the web site which says there is) http://cumbrian-lad.com/ To that end we are launching the web site below, beside my stuff, we are selling Try Back 2 and have some Bil Birkett and Trevor Hughes as well, might be worth a look? http://www7.clikpic.com/gone2ground/

It's a difficult subject to research, I do quite a lot of it with varying degree's of success http://cumbrian-lad.com/index.htm, the best way to start is to use Google, if your near Preston Record Office there is material ( it's actually hand written songs)in there on a pack from around Pendle now long gone. You might also try the local newspaper archives,they are a goldmine, but copies of the article your interested in can be expensive per sheet it is surprising how many now long defunct packs had books written about them for example http://www.archive.org/details/bed
