just a quick update guys, weve been trying all week before and after work and where ever in between but still no joy, ive had my male bowed out alot and that seems to be getting her attention but the closest she comes is the tree above and never to the ground, am i doing something wrong or is it just simply a waiting game? cheers

am on the iff have not seen it but i think there just trying to protect are sport a female harris at good hunting weight can cause quite a bit of damage to peoples pets and create a lot of bad press if its still local to you try and catch it up use the method i pmd you and youd be doing are sport a favour goodluck yea i understand that mate, but theres being protective and down right offensive, all the guy was saying was that he thought the bird was his and he got slated!! the people who comment on the IFF always seem to think that they are prestige falconers!! i for one wont be returning

well ive just been told that it isnt my mates bird, the rings under the anklet and his definatly wasnt, however ill still try and get it dow then phone the ibr and get it back to whoever lost it, cheers for all the advice guys

because on the previous post it says that she might come down and " snot him first go " and why wouldnt she have ago at him if she feels hes threatening her patch? just dont want to put him in at risk, and of course id be there but id bet all the money in the world shes quicker than me and my mate?

cheers for all the replys people, and yea its in eccles, she must be making a nest as weve seen her snapping branches off and flying them back to the conifer!!?? cheers for the pics mate ill get one rigged up, and if that doesnt work looks like im climbing the tree!! :11:, so me putting my male out is another option but theres a chance she could kill him!? dont like the sounds of that much!!

yea mate ive been ther the last 5 mornings early doors but she doesnt seem to want anything from the floor, but when she sees a pigeon etc fly by shes off after them?!

hi everyone, a mate of mine lost his harris just before christmas, anyway a few days ago a guy phoned him and said hed found his bird upa conifer in his back garden, we went round and sure enough it was there!! just wondered if any one has any tips on getting her down? weve tried pulling a dead rat on a creance in front of her, swinging a chick on a lure, putting a pigeon down for her but nothing seems to be working, were pretty confident shes not going anywhere as shes started building a nest in the conifer, so please if any one has any ideas or suggestions im all ears, cheers people

hahaha yea that was my first impresion of the other forum!! lets just say a few choice words were exchanged!! i put a swing perch in yesterday and when i got in from work he was alot quieter, so think thats helped, how big does the shoot have to be and where should it be positioned? ie top or side of the aviary? cheers mate ill pm you alot with questions if i have any :11:
