    Tame Ducks

sounds about right for reared duck, it can be sporting if ducks are fed away fi the pond to give them a chance to get a bit of hight
  2. there no bad now but theres ment to be mare tomo so who knows
  3. cracking offer lad dont get many like that, hope you get right man atb
  4. all the deer fences ive built have been around 6.5ft but ive only dealt with roe and this will keep hight will keep most out, am sure if you were in highlands you need a higher fence but 15ft seem a bit excessive. j.dog a contractor should be able to do it for under a tenner a meter depending on total legnth and access, a good farm store will sort you out with everything you need if doing it your self
  5. ive shot pigs with the 12g am sure i used bb i then cut its throat for it to bleed, so not sure what actually killed it. ive also put sheep down for the farmer with 32g 5s at 3ft or so and it deffo killed them.
  6. losts my springer last sunday walking in forestry she was there one sec then gone, gets a phone call fi the misses asking where i was as the dog was back home. no guns around that day dinny have a clue why normally a whistle and she is back.
  7. Would love to have seen your dog jump fences designed to keep deer out... With ease tae!!! you get some that dont take no for an answer and a fence is just an obstile in the way of quarry!! a deer fence is only six and half feet and no barb so its less worrying than double barb!! have you never seen roe crossing a deer fence before? some will some wont same as dogs Does your dog seriously jump deer fences mate? my old dog used to do it...lurcher x lurcher...25".....,needless to say your dog needs to be a very good jumper which mines was .....but he did not do it with ease, and not

As you say there 6 plus feet and I'm yet too see a lurcher "clear easily" a standard back garden fence never mind a deer fence. I don't for one minute think it can't be done with a large

  11. if my dogs are at heel or not chasing they will jump on comand if the lurcher is chasing she takes every obsticle in her way as with the springer jumps on comand unless out on retreive then then she does what she has to do to get the bird back to me, my first lurcher used to take deer fences with ease and my party trick when i was a boy was get her to jump the 6ft school fence what a dog she was rip orignal chinook.
  12. its a joke am glad i aint down your way, am sure the bbc and rspca are in cahoots as all reports of hunting are in accurate and biassed, and as for country file it should be called a townie in the countryside as there has never been any relevant countryside issues on it for years, its all about how the townie can have a nice day in the countryside. what about reality?
  13. got even more than that but am in the hills, could of done with out this got loads of work to get through nicer than rain thow
  14. got my yard done start of the year, thought it was going to put me under the dirty b*****ds dont give a f**k, to me taking a mans tools is like taking his childrens dinners off the table its not on but dosnt stop them and the police do f**k all .
  15. its tricky one this, ive owned stock thats been had by uncontrolable dogs and it aint nice seeing your hard work geting smashed up if the owner is not remorsfle about it i deffo could understand another man shooting a dog but couldny do it my self, id rather knock f**k out the owner or there husband lol as for the sign the guy has clearly had trouble in the past to resort to that. cammy

    predators

in the last 5 weeks ive had 4 differant predators(fox, stoat, mink, buzzard) try it on with my chickens some with success some whithout, now ive kept chickens for 5/6 years and have never had this, it seems to me a differant predator is trying all the time. we used to have loads of rabbits, mice and odd rat now i dont think theres even mice around, so am thinking there are alot of hungray predators about. has anybody elsed noticed the differance with the lack of natural prey for predators to feed on? atb cammy

    Shed Roof

Hello Cammy, No, well, not live ones! Wasn't thinking at the time when we built it, Glorious Summer days, making good headway.....needed sheet fast to get job finished. Along comes winter, and everything inside gets f**kin soaked anyway!! Got a few rolls of Glass wool lying around spare, but it's horrible stuff, especially above you! Might just suffer it for a morning, get it in there and stick up a sheet or 2 of ply to keep it there. Lab - Where did you get it from? Builders merchant / specialist Doods? Is it an aerosol deal, or do I need a gun for the compressor? Cheer

    Shed Roof

i worked with all the the cladding materials for years and ran my own gang traveling the country and the composit is by far the best there is then you have double skin and for the roof we used to mainly do kal zip plus composit bt hated doing doing the double skin as the money was rubbish what are the prices like these days mate its a hard game to be in the now there that many cut throats, i do the whole shooting match from fabrication to polishing the floor and manage to keep a good squad of boys going but prices have been hammered down and mateirals have rocketed its hard just now, won a j
  22. theres another fella on ebay that uses better wood than the one you put up, 2x2 framing and 18mm shiplap floor and roof is 22mm, easily assembled and a decent bloke, he wouldny deliver all the way up to me so i met him at appleby. it was easy to build just screw togeather and felt roof job done, he was from the lincoln area hope this helps
