  1. how do they expect me to know, you have to start somewhere, i thought i would post her becoz it full of experienced people. but i see it has it part of snobs, which think they are superior No snobs, there are far too many ferrets and to few responsible owners.from what ive seen members say, alot of people bread ferrets and alot end up in rescues or dumped somewhere
  2. can get the jab before shes in season i think because it lasts 2 months
  3. from what ive read they come into season first spring after they are born, hope that helps
  4. let it begin.....some members are not keen on these posts because this is stuff you should know before you start breading ferrets
  5. you have to watch what litter you use also, some can harm your ferrets
  6. What he said - its more natural and with the damn jab they dont know what the f**k is happening to their bodies.. ANd the fact that i'd rather see my girls getting some lovin rather than inject them with delvosteron which hurts like a f****r and makes them jump across the room. alright fair enough
  7. you could be right, your talking from experience am going on only what ive read.how is your jill when shes inbeside the other hobs? before i put mine into another hutch a chunk of hair was missing behind her left ear and her ear didnt sit like the other(seems better now) this was probaly down to the 2 hobs wanting some action,if it is then its probaly best to try avoid?
  8. i was considering a similar post mate, sorry for the thread hijack why dont you like the jill jab, because of the health issues it can cause?surly the jill jab is better than a vac hob for the jill, shes most likly gonna get bitten, often quite badly,on her neck and back.think ill leave the hobs be,smelly wee fookers!and get the jab for the jill.unless i find more information
  9. LOL when shes in season you will see her swell up,wont be able to miss it when it happens.google jill ferret in season picture

  17. aye mines are the same mate soon as the door is touched they are going nuts to get out and when they get out they are chilled and easly put back in,if your worried about them runing away put a bowl down with raw egg in it,they will just sit and drink it.if you think they might bite dont try pick them up at 100 mph put your hand in front of them, let them know its you and then lift.
