  1. Since getting my ferrets in march ive enjoyed the experience alot so ive been planing to get 1-2 more jills,so in the end ill have 3 jills and one hob.i was looking at the sspca website today and thought fook it ill go get one,so heres the new adition to the family(see pics below, not the best camera)for now ill keep her in the spare hutch for 1-2 days till she settles then ill try put her in with my other jill,in the end i hope to have all the jills and hob in together. If anyone else is looking for a ferret the sspca in edinburgh have a few hobs and one young albino jill(not all on site)some o
  2. hey mate sorry to hear yoru ferrets condition hasnt improved, maybe try phoning around different vets to try find one who knows there stuff when it comes to ferrets.some vets are better than others with certin animals, not much help but worth a try.good luck
  3. they will fight when in season mate, sometimes kill.if the two hobs are neutered they should be ok
  4. thanks for the help guys the pics are not the best,he was licking some ferret tone at the time,as for being livly lol hell yeah!!eats like fook and runs about in garden, jumps about and digs etc, also trys to break into the other hutch trying to get his way with the jill.if i thought he was ill he would be at the vet straight away heres another couple pics

  10. aye ive decided to let the big hob go,the guy is picking him up the morn,if he has any problems with the hob ill take the hob back and get a better third hutch.ill get the other hob booked into the vets next week.
  11. good job someone knows there stuff sorry for bad advice mate
  12. could be wrong, looks like hes got flies
  13. spose i could do that, the problem is finding someone up here that would swap.i might let the huge hob go then going on what you guys are saying
  14. i was planing to lay slabs this week and build a good sized ferret court next week for the 2 hobs and 1 jill i have, yesterday i had to split the 2 hobs because they are in season and fighting alot.so as it stands i have 3 ferrets in a hutch each. whats your opinions keep them in different hutchs till there out of season and build the ferret court or use the money from the ferret court and get both hobs neutered to be honest id love to build the ferret court, would be alot better for the 3 than being in the hutch, but am thinking maybe its best to get the 2 hobs neutered
  15. thanks,if i get them neutered will they be ok to go straight back into hutchs on there own?ive seen some members keep them in doors for abit after being neutered
  16. ive split them up for now,dam i wish i knew id have to split the 3 up when i got them.got someone wanna take one of the hobs,i might have to say yes
  17. wtf raped,so they are not just wresteling to decide who rules the hutch...i do have a third hutch but i wouldnt keep any aninmal in it,f**k!
  18. since i got the hobs ive seen them wresteling a few times, normaly its the bigest(wiser) out the 2 that looks to be winning, from what ive read i thought this is normal so never really bothered about it,never heard any squeeling so didnt think any pain was caused.i had the smaller hob(bud) out today and noticed a couple places behind the left ear/neck were marked, looked like alittle scab and alittle hair missing or clumped together. is this normal for two hobs and nothing to worry about or should they be moved into different hutchs.
  19. aye doesnt ring any bells
  20. one or two pinned threads that are locked and can only be edited by a select few who know there stuff addin content they know will be helpfull is whats needed.aye not everyone will read it,but if two out of five do then its still doing the job.when people do repeat posts we can link them to the pinned threads saying have a read over that mate.
  21. ive seen a few new members ask for sticky threads,if you think its a good idea reply to the post below saying you agree,if enough agree then maybe the admin might try it,might also stop the repeated threads some members hate seeing. not trying to cause any problems, just a idea i think will help.
  22. you might struggle mate as the seasons not long finished unless you can find someone needing pest control all year round.if you dont get any replys here try the phonebook, loads of farmers there just make sure you got free calls
  23. sorry Ideation do you reckon she will be able to join the 2 hobs later though once they are out season?ive seen someone after a jill on gumtree and now ferret forums(same wumin) and thought if she cant join the other 2 at all then it might be better if i gave her away,if she can join then no problem.am not trying to get rid just thinking it might be better instead of being stuck in the hutch on her own.
  24. she was in with 2 hobs before i got them, shes now on her own.not sure if its a good idea to put her back in with the 2 hobs at somepoint
