  8. good job mate, good luck with them.that screw sticking out in the first picture might cause problems.
  9. fair enough,i know what your saying.ive seen you guys talk about it many times on here.two main reason why i continue to try work my ferrets at this time of year is am new and enjoy it plus me and the young ferrets need the experience and two if i continue to pull rabbits from there ill have a good amount of land to work later.
  10. am in the same boat mate,i have 2 jills and one hob.the 2 jills are not in season but the hob will give them a hard time,i let my ferrets run about in garden sometimes but keep a close eye on them, the hob always trys to get the jills through the hutch bars, ill be keeping them apart till hes out of season that way i dont risk any of the 2 jills getting badly hurt.you could be lucky and he might just chuck them about but sometimes they do end up badly injured
  11. was out today with my two young jills for a couple hours.i managed to get 2 rabbits one huge and the other young, nippy(albino) did go awol for a while then came out covered in blood so it could have been three i spose.i still havnt got all the gear i.e locators but i just got this permission and dont want to loose it,the farmer has also said if i do good there could be other land to work, also being honest am starting to enjoy it the more am out so far ive only took 4 rabbits away from the new permission, nothin great i know but the farmer seems pleased am taking rabbits away what ever the numb
  12. i thought he had mites before, there is little bits of wax in his ears.i showed him to next doors mrs who is training to be a vet and she reconned it was ok then,so i never done anything about it.looking close at the hair on his head it does look more like oil.when hes out in the garden he likes to dig and roll/rub against the bark, this is just normal for a ferret though right,or maybe because its itchy?
  13. still haing trouble getting good pictures, these might help.
  14. this could be related to hormones,my hob is loosing hair on his head and was told hormones could be the cause.no doubt the ferrting veterans will reply soonish and put your mind at ease, but if in serious doubt get to the vets.good luck
  15. alright sounds no to bad then,i remember a post a while back i thought was fleas on someones ferret but it turned out to be oils,it was the hairloss that made me think its probaly fleas on mine. hes mostly fed on alphas ferret feast mate, and sometimes rabbit meat etc i took a few pictures but none were clear enough.ill try get some better ones sorted
  16. ive noticed black stuff on hair roots around my ferrets head, there is also some hair loss about there to.ill get him to the vets asap but since its sunday night i thought id ask you lot could this be fles or something else?
