  1. companys up here doing that go through alot of drivers, they dont give a f**k. they aint paying for the van, fuel, tracker, unform etc, drivers do.. hence why they moved drivers to self employed, if its a shite day/ week company pays out f**k all, no drivers on the books, no vans to look after..the moneys crap for the amount of work you do/time on the road, job on the books is better, you know the score then Ive never driven for a living so you might be right im only going on what my mate says........they do have a high turnover of drivers but as long as the goods get from a to b on time
  2. prefered the distance jobs rather than being stuck in town with tram works going on lol, if you can get a distance job and something on way back then it can be good. places i worked for had to many drivers, good for company not drivers. used to try websites like http://www.uship.com to try improve chances of work on the way back if companys i worked for had nothing
  3. welcome to the forums mate, try use the search option at the top right, go to ferreting forum, type into search, then select search this forum.. if you try that first, you will probaly find some good threads, will also avoid hastle from some members. good luck long as the ferret can work you will be ok
  4. anyone on here making/selling lurcher collars?

  6. like the above posts say, imports are crap, waste of money and you will struggle for parts to fix it. pw are good bikes for kids starting out. at 13 id say get your son a cr/yz/kx or ktm ?? to start off with, then move upto 125 once he gets used to it. they will cost you more, will last alot longer and parts are easier to find, will also sell later on great fun
  7. just seen the above post, thanks so far not having much luck, shes crazy lol.. shes trying to play but going to far, she managed to grip other halfs nose other night (she was raging, at me not the pup lol), went to far with me another time, manged to jump up and take a snap at my face, pulled back in time. sooner she grows out of it the better lol, or ill be kicked out
  8. i could make 700-900 in a week, then there was van, fuel and the other stuff need to pay for. wages after for rest of month probaly wouldnt be as good so had to keep money aside, as westy said go for hgv
  9. i know how it works mate, if your working as same day courier, even a good courier will struggle to make the "minimal wage" every week working "normal hours" you need to do alot of OOH aswell as "normal hours" work to make a decent wage. wages are up and down alot, you aint garenteed a good wage everyweek. if you want a job were you know what you will earn each week, so you know what you have to pay bills etc, self employed courier isnt for you
  10. no true mate, wages are up and down with same day couriers anyway. they say at interview theres lots of work bla bla bla first few weeks are lie. so they try give you good jobs, then after that its broken up, to try spread out work with all drivers. no paid holidays, work everyday and night lol you can edit: for thread starter, if your going to work for same day company, try make it a national one.. improves chance of getting work on way back with long distance jobs, helps alot

  12. people think courier is easy work, far from it. self employed is tough, alot of expenses. crazy hours and miles to try make a decent wage.. i done alot of local and long distance stuff, the company benfits from slave labour lol, drivers get f**k all..
  13. shed if you can mate, alot of more room to run about, toys, pipes, wheels etc. what would you prefer to live in , hutch or shed with more space? am using a shed at the moment, i could probaly do more with the space, extra level , few more things for ferrets. hutch will do the job
