I feed both my staffordshire bull terriers the 'barf' diet which means for those who dont know,,,, raw beef mince, chicken mince, lamb mince, tripe. mixed with raw fruit and veg (you dont have to go mad on the fruit and veg, we use tesco value frozen veg) the meat must be frozen first, and you cant use pork for dogs either. I use ferret feast dried food for the ferrets mainly, but have started using the odd defrosted beef mince

I keep chickens and had some birds that were about 6 weeks old, one bird was obviously a cockerel that was surplus to requirements, so rung its neck. Thought i would try it on the ferrets ,,,,, Went to check on ferrets before work and all that was left was a few feathers!!!! Didnt think they would even eat the bones!!

You didnt read it properly, i said his birthday was yesterday (monday) which he was 4, on saturday (2 days before his birthday) he was still 3 years old!

On saturday the wife was asleep on the settee after being up early for work, so decided to go out with the ferrets for an hour, and decided to take my eldest son who was 4 years old yesterday. We put the nets down and got set,,,,, We got two rabbits and he wanted to watch me get them ready for a pie! Whilst gutting the rabbits he never flinched an inch, and insisted on feeding the ferrets a piece of liver. We took the rabbits to the wifes aunty again for her to make him a rabbit pie(which he keeps going on about!) Anyway on arriving home,,,,, The mrs was not happy with me for taking a 3

I have 2 staffordshire bull terriers, would they be any good , probably spend more time play fighting and smelling everything, pissing up every bush, and would probably want to lay down as soon as the novelty had worn off !!!

Hi All, Thanks for the advice, the secateurs was a good idea! i found a set with 9 holes so did that one, i only got the 1 rabbit which i had to dig 5ft for!! no bolters to start with but had just got the rabbit out that the ferret had been scratching at, and on the opposite side of the hedge one bolted but got free and ran off as i couldnt quite get there fast enough or didnt notice it soon enough as was digging, gutted the rabbit and dropped it off at the wifes auntys on the way home for her tea tomorrow night, so happy all round!! Cheers Jon.
