Thanks guys!
Dogman - thanks for the advice, I have 1 shooting partner who I trust through and through. He's just had a refresh of his cabinet and picked himself up a HW97K. Once I've seen how he can shoot with that he'll be the only person I take with me.
Stuart - Yeah it's a Diana 52. She's old but reliable and very accurate. A great rifle for hide shooting, not so good for having to carry about on stalks though as it's not light!
The one - yup, got some early morning and late nights ahead! but during the summer last play is about 8pm so will give me 2 or 3 hours of light in the evenings

Fantastic looking gun, and nothing wrong with a hour rabbit bashing with the air rifle

Afternoon
I purchased a new scope (hawke sport-hd 4-12x50 ir scope model hk3018) for my HW77k.
I finally got out to see what improvement to my shooting it would make, after spending a few hours plinking away and getting to grips with a mildot reticle scope I went to a local permission of mine to see if I could bag a rabbit or two.
I was lucky enough to take five rabbits all taken within 25-35 yards with a solid and clean headshot.
Then I popped into one of the store sheds of which usually has some feral pigeons, that the farmer really wants taken care of due to the amount of dropping on stock etc. four pigeons humanly dispatched
Really rate this scope for the use on air rifle for close and medium range.
Could somebody post the link to zini video on how to set up a mil dot scope?
thanks

I don't understand your question? If your asking why do I want a call bird even tho I know it's the wrong time of year, it's because I chap that is allowing me to shoot in his land in return I have to control the magpies. I have shot a few however I would like to see if trapping them throughout the week will happen, not allow to shoot only weekends,

While out checking my larsen trap that i have put out to try and bag a few maggies, as the land owner hates them. Managed to shoot a few but just want to have a go with the larsen. (not the right time of year i know)
Last night when i was up checking trap i seen a the greys bouncing about, gutted (so i took the air rifle out this time)
Took two of them with head shots, great pellet placement.
Dropped with a solid crack
