  3. Paid another visit to the permission this afternoon ,it was a bit colder and windier than i thought it would be,but the forecast was for sunny spells later on.Set up a chalk target at my zero range of 35 mtr's and found i needed 1 mildot to the right/left with the wind.First shot of the day was at the ferals feeding on the cattle feed,35 mtr's went for the head shot and missed due to the gust's of wind around the barns.Luckily for me they all didn't fly of,second shot was taken i opted to take a heart/lung shot, the pellet hit home and the pigeon died almost instantly. On entering the first fiel
  4. Hi Fran, there just the high mount....
  5. Hi Michael,on one of my permissions the rabbits prefer the evenings,on another they must come out at night as i have been at different times of the day and not seen any ,come morning there's fresh diggings.but on this permission they have a gardener who lets his dog wander all day .Is your permission liable to disturbance i.e public footpaths if so try early mornings one day ,evenings the next.with the warmer months approaching rabbits tend to be out all day lazing in the sun..
  6. Hi Ron,the huggett works very well, can't really hear a lot of difference when you fire, but down range its very quite, plus it's not much longer with the silencer ,than the old shroud alone was
  7. Grazing fields can be very good this time of year pigeons love clover, defo put decoys out if you see any feeding
  8. Thanks si,lot of rabbits about but not much cover ,so it's hard stalking them.i watch we're they run in and then lye in wait.been following your REVIEW on the nite hunter, sounds very promising.
  9. Thanks for the kind comments lads.just added a few extras to the rifle, huggett shroud/silencer,match trigger, rowen engineering adjustable butt pad.
  10. The forecast looked good, warm with 9mph winds,so it was of down the farm.this photo shows my first kill, clean head shot at a lasered 31 mtr's. The second one was my best shot to date, lasered it at 55 mtr's .I have set my scope as of chair gun, zeroed at 35mtr's the first mildot 10 mtr's and then goes up 5mtr's per mildot after.Tested at all the ranges and it was perfect. The last picture show's the oak tree i was sat under when i took the shot. All in all a very good day,saw a lot of rabbit's today 30+,even saw a young un ,a lot of the warrens had been dragged out ready for this years
  11. According to chair gun with the weight of pellet that you are using its a little over 11ft/lb so i wouldn't worry mate.Given time for your rifle to bed itself in ,and the power might increase a little more but more importantly be more consistent.
  12. They had the n200 model connected to a tv (picture was in colour). The others were on stocks with scopes fitted not sure which models they where.i didn't notice any portable recording device's attached.

  15. Not been able to get out much since new year been suffering with a frozen shoulder.Had injection on monday and getting more flexibility in the shoulder so i thought i'd go and have a bit of target practice. Was watching someone shooting chalk disc's on youtube ,so i thought i'd try them out.Quick look on ebay and found jumbo chalk stick's 20 for £4 delivered.got them this morning and cut them to size with a hacksaw,on average getting 12 discs to 1 stick.works out quite cheep and good fun to shoot .My apologies for the picture quality ,light was fading ....Ste. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v
