Good luck with your new pup mate, my advice would be to make sure you get the basics right.
Obedience is the key cos i.m.o. once a Bull X gets going they take some stopping.
I`ve got a Bull X bitch myself worked on all quarry you`d expect a dog of this cross to work in the UK
and i also do obedience with her, which gives me summat to do during the summer months at shows.

A while back i put a whippet across my 23" Bull X. I`ve been out lamping & ferreting with two of the pups that mates have had, and i`ve found them to be crackin little workers quick of the mark, good with other dogs, but game enough if needed.
Dam. Bull X center. Dog pup Left. Bitch pup right.

when i first started reading this topic i thought "your all mad "
Then i rememberd a night out a few months back out with my bitch and a pup from her last litter, the pup was about nine months old and this was her first night out on the lamp.
my mate sliped her on a rabbit in the center of the field. (this was about her third slip)
she put about 3 turns on it then finaly caught her 1st rabbit.
all the time this was happening myself and my mate were both shouting " git it then" oooooohhhhhhhhh
arghhhhhhhhhhhhh then jumping up and down like demented football fans when she caught it.

Years back i was working over in the ilse of white, whilst waiting in portsmouth harbour i decided to walk my terrier around the car park to empty out.
Walking past a bush in full view of all the other cars waiting to catch the ferry the terrier darted into the bush and came out with a Crow.
He then proceeded to rag it like feck n would`nt let me take it from him. so their i was chasing the mutt with feathers flying everywhere in front of a load of people waiting to catch the ferry

Well done Molly {Terra}
Those are great days when you just drop on like that, glad to see terra stuck to the job, and your Yorkies too
Lets hope it`s the start of a good run on the beggars.

Tried getting out the other morning with my black bitch, but she`s not interested in retriveing the dummys
the only thing she wants to retrive is my dirty socks
So will be wraping my dirty socks round a dummy next to see if that works
good to see yours doing well.

Had to have a stopper pad off on my bitch {Bull X} and had other problems with cuts and such like.
I`me told it`s one of the drawbacks with this cross.
But i.m.o. worth the effort.

I started doing the obedience comps last year with my bull x, mainly to kill time cos the Bull x class is nearly always last at shows.
I managed to win a couple with her though it does sometimes depend on weather she`s in the mood or not
Had a good day at Chatsworth last year on the sunday, got champion novice.
