Have you seen one then ? If not what do you think a cross to a manchester terrier would bring to a lurcher,? From what i understand, the breed is virtualy extinct & has`nt been used for work for a long time... Mars..

Yeah shame about the Rain "ALL DAY" Funnily it did`nt rain on the drive home at all Good to meet up with a couple of you lads, dogrun, strong stuff, billie boy, and i got to see a couple of pups from two seperate litters that i`de bred from my bitch, both of which the judge saw fit to give a rosette too, a 2nd for the Bull/grey x wheaton/grey & Champion Bull X for billie boys dog. A good day even though i did get soaked... Yis Mars..

BULLS ADD BRAINS !! ?????????? LOL You were Quick to bite Chartpolski Yes Bull X lurchers do have brains, i`ve won a few obedience competions with mine, and found her easy to train. Or Nightmans bitch from a couple of years back i hear he did quite well with her.. People look at a bull x lurcher in a certain way mainly because of "The Person" on the other end of the lead.. but if people took the time to train their dogs "As You Should" with any dog, then perhaps the Bull X could be seen as it should be seen "A Lurcher" Yis Mars...

I.M.O. You have enough speed to put in the mix with your own bitch, so somthing other than sighthound is needed.. My preference would be to add a bit of Bull they not only add a bit of Gameness but it adds brains too, As you say you`ll only be doing rabbits, perhaps the addition of a rough coat for cold days ferreting and pushing through cover, a wheaton cross or Beddie cross could be good for that.. All that said, Now is not a good time to be breeding as Lurchers from what i can see just aint selling to well, and from the age of your bitch you still have a couple of good seasons in her bef

Open this link and listen whilst you have a browse, the fun starts around 8mins 26seconds in, the woman starts of talking some sense about the type of people that own these breeds, But then she Starts on Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and she even goes on to say that theirs is no such thing as a pitbull & that a pitbull is just a mongrel bought about by crossing a staffy with a mastiff type dog... Thanks Frank, i normaly use drontol on the dogs myself, but as these were given to me, who am i to look a gift horse in the mouth, { i wonder where that saying comes from} I`ll try and do a search to find if/why they were taken of the market before i give them to the dogs.. Mars..

yeah, that would be a really itellegent thing to do would'ent it no, its white (now painted black) twin wall boiler pipe, and you not the only one to mistake it for plastic LOL!!!!! i did`nt think it would be plastic, it just looked it on the pic. lol!!!!
