  1. Thanks Snap Shot, Mars.......
  2. Lol, this bitch below is that " one mans litter wastage" I thank god that man decided to give her away free to good home as she was`nt going to make big enough for his likeing..... I`ve seen this bitch run rings round bigger dogs, and out "Perform" bigger dogs, catch rabbits like a whippet plus do all other things you`d expect of a bitch of this breeding. Now in his eyes she was`nt good enough but it`s down to his breeding, that i`ve had my life long mooching partner, and she has passed on those traits to her offspring, A lot of which i`ve seen work and some of them have been tested even mor
  3. Are you going to call your new pup "Lucky" Mars...
  4. Undisputed, i`ve been watching this thread and their are some good replys, and from what i can gather from your replys you seem to be coming down on the side of, Nurture.... Well heres my two penneth for what its worth... For Lurchers i reckon its 70% Nature 30% nurture, because to get a decent days/nights work from a lurcher it needs to be reasonably obedient, but it also has to have the phyisical and mental attributes to want to work which can only be passed on by breeding worker to worker, and best to best.. With Terriers i.m.o. i reckon its 100% nature, the dog Has To Want to B

  7. Thanks for the replys lads, i agree this site can "at times" be a good place to look stuff up, and reading through other topics can be very helpfull, But She Who Must Be Obeyd is a bit of a book worm and insists on having a book handy for her to look things up, i.e. health and welfare issues, and to be honest i tend to agree with her, Were off to Tabley game fair at the weekend so hopefully their will be a book stall there for us to check out... Yis Mars..

  15. I`me enjoying following the progress of this litter myself, even though they are spread all over the country, the pups owners are great at keeping in touch, with reports of the pups exploits and i`ve got a few invites for the coming season to see them at work for myself I agree that they are not heavy dogs, {my own pup gets mistaken for a saluki cross } though i did`nt think they would be as their dam is only 28kg when work fit and their sire is lighter than that... From what i`ve seen and been told they all have the in ya face, drive, and willingness to please of the terrier and are ha

  17. This weekend myself and mrs Mars went down to devon for a show {South West Terrier & Lurcher} i sold four pups down that way from the mateing with Moorman1`s Wheaton/grey to my Bull/Grey. So arangements were made & camp site booked and Moorman1 very generously invited me out with himself and a couple of other lads for a days mooching on some keeperd land that needed a spot of vermin control to be done. It was a cracking day some young terriers had a good start to their work, and the lurchers did their bit too, All in all a good day out with some guenuine dogmen and some decent wo

  24. Crufts is just a show,!!!! Fashion, poor breed standards, and peoples interpritation of those breeds standards is whats ruined many pedigree breeds. Mars..
