  3. It's interesting to see what some people consider to be "peak condition" and "ribbed" some very good examples of what fit healthy working dogs should look like but others well need a bit more muscle tone and a diet, I'm not throwing stones I haven't been out half as much as I normally would be, so dogs are not in their peak but soon will be, once they are I'll pop up a photo or two. not a stupid thread at all, lets face it we've seen worse!! all the best Fallow
  4. my lurcher bitch is sired by a mike brown whippet,, the sire could pre ban have foxes, squirrels, rats with a hard mouth and be sound round a ferret and a soft mouth for rabbit. he was everything i'd want in a dog, which is why i had a pup sired by him. my bitch was grand until she broke her leg then lost confidence but that could happen in any dog, she is now retired to the sofa and companion duties remember when it comes to people proving there is a bad ones, the socialisation, training and diet have a lot to play in it, the owners who feed and bring the pup on has just the same amou

  8. This is what gets me let me put it to you like this. THEY ARE MY LINE OF WORKING FERRET WHY WOULD I BUY SOMEONE ELSES SHIT Simples. I am breeding to add to my stock and nothing more Don't tar everyone with the same brush. The ones that are in it for the money are sadly mistaken if you think you can turn a profit because if feed properly and looked after they cost a small fortune much much more than the tenner you may get for them if you want to preach to folk join a church. Regards JW well said mate! i agree that it tis sad that so many ferrets end up in rescue but its not everyones
  9. i would be happy for one or a couple of kits to go to a pet home as long as they had company and are handled very often, one kit went to a pet home and it has a better life then a domestic cat! the ferret jill is spayed and lives in the living room, has a litter tray which she uses, and sleeps on owners lap like a cat, has company of another ferret who has the same treatment and both are very happy, when i retire my workers she'll be the first person called, if not they'll live the rest of their days with me. the ferret is an underated worker!! my jill is due in a week, the earliest i have e

  11. the black whippet pictured is more up my street mate, nicer shape and better muscle, though perhaps the angle the fawn bitch was standing in the first is what put people off,, perhaps it was the way you worded your post, you'll be amazed what people get wound up about on this site.

  21. that looks very good there mate, been building some myself, just recently moved, and in truth they haven't had as much space as i would have wanted but i managed to get 18 pallets for free and managed to build one court and modified an old dog kennel too,, the ferrets are very happy to have the extra space, i put in some old tyres which they completly love! plus an old cat scratching post and of course tunnels etc they really enjoy it nice to see other people spoiling their ferrets!

  23. Please put this on your status if you know someone who suffers from Rectal Cranial Inversion. This disease (otherwise known as Head Up Your Own Ass Syndrome) affects the lives of many. There is no known cure for Rectal Cranial Inversion but by posting this as your status for just one hour we can raise awareness. This cause is close to my heart as, sadly, I meet many people afflicted with it on a day to day basis!!
