Signed this earlier. It's now got over 300 signatures in 25 hours!
  9. Well done to Wiggo but don't forget Peter Wilson and Ian Coley also pick up MBEs, 2 honours for shooting.

This is what I do and I have to deal with this a lot.
  11. The poll you're quoting from was commisioned by LACS so it's no suprise the figures are against us. Like Bigdog says, manipulated. Having said that I don't think the Hunting Act'll be repealed. The Hunts are enjoying a surge in support now so I think the mps will say why go back when trail hunting is so popular. You lurcher boys have been all but forgotten, reduced to "poachers" by the media.
  12. I feed whole sprats or sardines regularly as part of the BARF diet. They're cheap enough from Tesco fish counter and I just chuck 'em in the bowl as they come. Oily fish good for dogs joints and coat health.
  13. "If your dog is fat, you're not getting enough exercise."
  14. I've been feeding BARF for about a year and will never change back. My dog has bundles of energy, holds weight well and looks fit and healthy. During the working day (picking up) I feed a small cheese sandwich after ever 2 drives just to give a little energy boost.
  15. Mike, I admire what you tried to do. You have an ideal and you tried to make a go of it. I think the outcome was inevitable and I suspect you knew the day would come. I for one hope you try again. I've enjoyed reading The Hunter's Chronicles and think your writing style makes a refreshing change from the usual bad spelling, grammar and language most frequently encountered on this site. If you and your family were happy with the lifestyle then who am I to criticise? If anything I'm a little jealous. Good luck and have a merry Christmas.
  16. They just don't make comedy like they used to, and I'm saying that as a 32 year old! I'd much rather watch Morcombe & Wise over shite like the Royale Family.
  17. Nasty things can befall a family pet while just out for a walk in the country.
  18. Or give this guy a go, I think he lives in Bexley Heath too. http://www.gundogschool.co.uk/index.html
  19. Breezeleaf Spaniels near Tonbridge could be worth a look. Good reputation. If you're interested in joining a club then there's Bakadam Gundog Club that meet weakly at Keston during the winter and in various fields near Sevenoaks during the summer. £6 for 2 hour group class. Bakadam could be good for you if you're getting your dog soon as winter training is done in a village hall so is secure, confined and no scent to hunt.
  20. Hi Darren, welcome to the forum and welcome to the gundog section. I've only ever seen 1 Chesapeake and that was at my gundog club's novice dog test so not really a breed I'm familiar with. Good on you for researching the market before breeding more pups. Too many people do it the other way around but it's also great your previous litter work for HMRC. At least they're working and not fat, lazy pets in inappropriate homes.
  21. I've got a lab x pointer of some sort! Excellent retriever, hard hunter, ranges widely.
  22. So the family had him for about 2 months before deciding they didn't have the room? Good for you mate, im sure you'll give the dog the life it deserves.
  23. £40 the pair + postage, I'll have them.
