  4. hi, after some advise my 6 month old jrt has what i think is mange, ive seen it on a dog before, i have taken her to the vet and they just rubbed there hand together and charged me over £60 and it aint done shit so i was hoping somone might know somthing that i might be able to buy over the counter, if not its back to the vets, so any good advise will be appreciated cheers!!!

Hi all, Just making chat, I was sat in a lay-by today eating a fatboy , and I seen a rat only a young one, so I shot it with my 22 air riffle let my 14 week old Jrt out to have a look, she picked it up and started to rag it around like a good in. I know she is very young still but I was happy to see her reaction, I was at work so I was unable to get a picture, but next time ah. Cheers
  10. Don't hurry on it. Let her be a pup and play as long as she can, and work up her condition and reflexes in the process; it's only such a short part of their lives. Best of all take her with an easy going experienced old dog and let the old one give the exemple on hunting rats, maybe when she is 4 to 6 months. Years ago when I had not much work for my terriers yet, I bought me a so called tame rat and let it go in the woods, and the dog had to find it. I had an older dog at hand to either give the exemple or catch the rat if the young one wouldn't. After being bayed, or bitten once, these tame

  12. fair play mate, just got myself a jrt she is 11 weeks old now, was that her first time out? my 7 month jrt got its first rat today im well pleased.I got her when she was 10 week old and realised she was deaf after a few days but ive stuck wi it and its paying off now shes coming on well its just a ballache trying to get her back when shes on one lol as you could imagine.

  14. Hi all, i am new to all this, i have just bought myself a female jrt she is weeks old and i want to start her off on rats! can anyone tell me what age is the best to get her started? How old is it? she is only 11 weeks old mate, to young yet but a good guide would be nice, thanks
