  3. hi mate i had a harris hawk a good few years back now and was thinking about getting back into it. i only had the harris hawk for 2 years but she went to a hawk centre in the end because of work and so on. im just doing some reading and watching dvds to refresh my memory because it was such a long time ago. i really enjoyed training the harris but was thinking about getting something a bit different. i probably will go for the harris in the end but just wanted to get a few opinions. im starting from scratch again so need to get all the kit and im thinking about free lofting rather than a weath
  4. hi just woundered if anyone knows anything about these or fly these birds? just like to know what they are like to train, what they good for when hunting, whats the best type of ground to work one on, is there much difference from a harris when working and if you had to choose one which would you choose and why? thank you. ps sorry for multi questions
  5. thanks for your replyies everyone didnt even think about ECS or ESS but it does make alot of sence only thought about a terrier really because of what i have seen my mates use but would be nice to bring something different to the team thanks again everyone.
  6. hi folks just joined the forum tonight seems to be some very clued up lads on here and im looking for some advice on which terrier to get to work with my lurcher, ferrets and hawk to push rabbits out of cover, marking and so on wont be hunting anything else just rabbits. never owned one before so im looking for something thats easy to train, good temperment and also something that fits into a family home with kids as well as being a good working dog. i like the look of the lakelands and boarder terriers but like i said i dont no much about the breeds. i know i might be asking a silly question
