After moving 50 mins away to a new home and town 6 months ago i was really worried that i would not be able to find any land / permission to carryout my passion for ferretting as the area I left i had been growing my permission for 20+ years and with the ever increasing fuel prices i didnt want to be going backwards and forwards to often. Lucky I aquired a few acres of a local estate just before the shooting season started.   4. Thanks lads He honestly hasnt been frightened,No arguments etc,No bad vet experiences. Im an area manager for a company so do alot of travelling and used to take him with me a few days a week as i was away for 10/12hours aday and didnt want to leave him alone and like i said he was great,never sick just used to sleep. but now i only take him max 30mins away but as soon as he gets in he Drawls real bad and its none stop till we get there. All his travels now are to take him for walks / mooching. Surely this will effect his ability to work well as he must feel well crap after all that dr

  7. I have taken my Lurcher pup out in the car with me from when he was 12 wks old,and he was great,loved it.But now he is 7 months old and he has started to hate it. He Drawls from the mouth like made,its like someone has turned a tap on,and he is occasionally sick. Hes not crated up in the car, Would this help???? I dont feed him before he goes Iv never brakked hard to worry him I want to be taking him to shows in the summer and i have to travel to alot of my permission Any advise would be appreciated ATB Grubsy
  8. Hi Lads Just wandering if the colour of a dog makes a difference? As my Collie / Whippet / Greyhound pup is White. Would his quarry spot him a mile off whilst lamping etc? Have any of you owned a good Working white dog? I would appreciate your views ATB Grubsy

  10. Times have changed, how many stray dogs do you see wandering the streets these days??? I believe people with non working pet dogs all have theres jabbed up, so should think theres not many nastys out there to catch these days??? My mates got a little rat of a lasso apso! swear he gets that thing jabbed up every year! and it still probly wont last aslong as a dog thats had 1st jabs or not. I had a JR Terrier that lived till she was nearly 17! she never went to the vets! till her last day to be PTS

THEY CHECKED EVERTHING AND SAID HE SEEMS FINE, VITAL ORGANS / TEMPERATURE / HAPPIENESS ETC BUT SAID BLACK POO MAY BE CAUSED BY BLEEDING (BLOOD PASSES THROUGH AND AFTER DIGESTED TURNS BLACK) DIDNT RECOMMEND FEEDING HIM MEAT / RABBITS JUST ADVISED TO GET HIM ON AGOOD BALANCED DRY PUPPY MIX. GAVE ME SOME (PAID FOR SOME) TINNED BLAND MEET TO FEED HIM SOLELY FOR THE NEXT 3DAYS AND COLLECT SAMPLE STOOLS TO TAKE BACK MONDAY. ALSO GIVEN SOME ANTIBIOTICS & FLUID FOR HIM TO TAKE JUST IN CASE.
