  1. Hi there, I'm looking for a 12 bore side by side double trigger, in a left hander. 28in barrels, and not full chokes. Will pay up to £500.00. now sold.
  2. Hi all, think I agree with The one, photo job. If not I think we will start seeing a lot of adds for the new [[ in ferret ]] can anyone guess how much they'll go for. ha ha.
  3. hi there, firstly keep away from the 4x,6x,cheep and nasty green nylon. I would be looking at 4 ply hemp, spun nylon,or polyester type of twines. Some of the braided twines are also good. Regarding the sizes of nets,I'm afraid its horses for courses. If your working very thick hedges you might only be able to get a three foot net in,where as around the brambles, you may have to use a 4 footer or bigger. I would make a few of each size until you no what sizes you use most. hope this helps.
  4. great picks, did the three of you find what you were looking for on the sixth picture ha ha .
  5. I personally wouldn't put a newby ferret in after rats, there may be a nasty big doe rat with young in there.
  6. love to see that white fat around the kidneys well done, looks like you enjoyed yourself.
  7. It's times like these, that you only hope that the r s p c a can get it right for once, and track those scum bags down, lock them up, and throw away the keys.
  8. Hi there, I think Phil lloyd has got it spot on.,The new generation of hunters are more than likely to spend three or four hours with their rimmi, or 17hmr,getting 50 or more rabbits, than spending all day ferreting for a dozen or so.[[alot less time and effort]]. It would be interesting to see if the terrier lads are finding the same.[[more lamping foxes with their guns, instead of digging etc]]
  9. what a load of _r_p. If that was my whippet I would call it a failure. no organisation,to much noise going on, a complete bunch of plonkers.
  10. Hi all, I've got some teal and a couple of manderin ducks feathers. Anyone tying at the moment, p m me and I'll post them to you.
  11. Hi all, just wondering if anyone is using polished hemp for their nets, and is it any better than the other type??
  12. At £2 per net can you break that down into what costs what? Spun poly is easily obtainable for £8.95 a spool( sizes do vary upto 600g+in some cases) X12 nets @75p ea in twine a couple of rings from 6p ea last time I bought some, draw cord 3yds say 30p. Obviously your time does nt come anywhere near minimum wage Y.I.S Leeview Hi there,I think your a bit off with prices. spun polly more like£10.50,net rings 10p each, draw cord say 30p so each net costs approx for a four foot net and 18 meshes wide= net===£1.00 2rings===.20p cord===30p total approx £1.50.thats just for the net,so i
  13. Hi there,I noticed the same thing,so just lately I've been emailing sellers on the famous site[[who bay]], to see how they can turn the nets out so cheap.SIMPLE THEY CUT CORNERS.Now I'm not saying everyone is doing this , but the one's that I noticed selling cheap nets certainly are. Now quite a few people like the shaped purse nets, but some of the nets are far to shaped,if you know what I mean.[[starting with six meshes and going up to twelve, the widest part in the centre of the net only being twelve meshes wide,or thirteen,or fourteen, still not wide enough.] I know you pay's your mon
