  3. I have only had my dog a few months as he was known to the police where I got him from and the owner was waiting prosecution. My wife told me not to get him micro chipped in case he accidently slipped his lead somewhere he shouldn’t be. I had a long think about it and I got him Micro chipped anyway. I know some of you might think im daft but I thought at least if he gets lost I had more chance of getting him back and he wouldn’t get caught without me anyway

  6. I bumped into 4 old mates years back on some permission I had. I had known these lads for years and told them it made it awkward for me but if they wanted to come with me any time they could. Problem solved and when I moved I got them the permission from the farmer in writing. Good lads and always respected the land even when poaching
  7. Hi Bouncer I have been on a few hunts myself and have my own stables. So does the same apply when the hounds chase a fox on someone else’s land. Don’t get me wrong mate I definitely have nothing against the hunts but you’re not telling me that the hunts you go on or used to never went on someone else’s land. What’s the difference, the frill of the chase is the same whether it be with horses and hounds or a running dog after a hare. I tend to stick to permission but also run my dog over local fields. When I’ve been out shooting Iv shot over a boundary and iv also been out on many

  10. Always be polite. I used to always ask for ratting and rabbiting permission as people tend to hate rats more lol. I also used to take my daughter with me as Mrs. Farmers wife in the middle of nowhere would not feel as uncomfortable answering the door as she would to some strange bloke stood there. Nearly all my shooting permission started off as ferreting permission. Same with the dog. I used to always start off ferreting then ask if I could shoot or course once they got to know me. I am going on some new permission tomorrow always as exciting as the first bit I got. That’s just to ferret bu

  12. Wife bought me a 300 lumen mag light last year for my birthday and paid about £. for it with a scope mount. This one is better a lot cheaper and it cost me 7.00 a time for batteries for the other. Same scope mount fits both. Think this will be the way future lamps are going. Bright, light weight, not bulky and no big 6v or 12v bats to carry

  15. I bought a torch from china via ebay and its the dogs gonads. It cost me about £12 with postage + battery charger and adaptor. Its 800 lumes with a nice spot. Im not saying go out and replace your lamps (its good but not that good) but its ideal for taking the dogs out locally when I dont want to be carrying a big lamp about with me. Also police couldnt get funny saying i was going equipped as it is a torch lol. Lamped a rabbit with it last night a good 200 yard off. let my running dog off the lead with my Alsatian running behind yelping lol. I didnt expect him to get it just thought he could
