  1. First time I took my ten week old pup to the vets for his jabs and the vet looked at his tail that had been docked at three days old and asked me to show him the docking certificate, which I did. Vets requirement to ask.
  2. Get rid of the wife and have whatever dog he likes then
  3. Right up until the terrier I've got now I've always had lurchers and I wouldn't like to see any dog on the arse end of a rabbit heading for a main road with any thought of calling it back
  4. Oli a couple of months ago. He's just coming seven moths old now
  5. Just bought my daughter one without scope for £259 brand new
  6. Your 265/70 x 15's are 752mm tall and 235/70 x 15's are 710mm tall, so you'll lose 42mm in tyre size or actually 21mm in ride height. It might be enough to knock your speedo out a bit.
  7. Bear in mind that some insurance companies will load you with a Jap import. With a two grand Land Rover its more than likely going to be over fifteen years old which means as a second car you can get classic limited mileage insurance if you go with a specialist company like Footman James, (or Peter James Insurance who used to be part of Footman James and will beat any of their quotes), I pay £116 fully comp for a 1995 Discovery limited to 6000 miles a year.
  8. He's just right and exactly what I wanted. Looks a bit different to when you last saw him doesn't he? Just for info and to prove how good some of the people on here are, I went to see two pups from the same litter and I'd more or less decided before seeing them that I was having a different one to this from photo's. The guy I bought him off, from talking to me and sussing exactly what I wanted of the pup advised me that this lad would suit me more, but still gave me the option between the two. I went with his advise and it was the right decision for me, 100%, just goes to show that genui
  9. He's out by PT's JRT Titch and out of Main Mans JRT/Lakie bich Polly
  10. One of our cats bought a mouse in and dropped it and the thing legged it across the room till my 14 week old pup collared it and bit it in half. A star in the making maybe.
  11. I've got a 300tdi Disco, and use it for everything. All the dirty cr*p and dog cage goes in the back, and with seat covers on the front seats its still a decent enough motor to use for the school run. It is exactly the same (except the wheelbase) as a 90 or 110 and does the job the same with the right tyres. The only thing is if you are into proper playing in the mud and you kiss a tree or something similar, a dented wing adds a bit of character to a Defender, where it can make a Disco or Classic Range Rover look like a nail. My wife has got F reg 110 that we paid £600 for a couple of year
  12. Just bought a set of BFG All Terrains, 235/70x16 on 7x16 steel wheels for £132 a corner. Awesome tyre for the price. Cooper Discoverer is another good one to look at.

What tread pattern is it? All Terrain or Mud Terrain?
  14. What do you want the dog to bring the rabbits back alive for?
  15. Google head gland disease. Had a dog with this a few years ago.
  16. Just took my pup this morning to have his first jab at the vets. Had the docking certificate with me that came with him when I bought him and still had to listen to a ten minute lecture about the vets dislike for docked tails. A friend of ours who had a young Jack Russell from a rescue was doing the same last year and because she didn't have the paperwork got threatened with the Police and had to prove where she had it from.
  17. Hi mate. I'm new on here too.Loads to look at and some good helpful people as well.
  18. Hi Chris. Top bloke, the pup's a good un mate.

  19. Sorry for the poor picture quality, took on my phone, I'll post some more when I find the camera. This is Oli, ten weeks old, out of a JRT/Lakeland bitch and by a JRT dog, both working dogs. Bought today off a proper fella on here, MAIN MAN, who I can't recommend highly enough. My first terrier after losing my Lurcher through illness a fortnight ago.
  20. Hopefully already have. Picking a pup up on Thursday and I'll post some pics when I get him settled at home.
  21. New to the site so hello to everyone. I live in the Black Country and regularly use some farmland over the Clent Hills with a air rifle. Lost my old lurcher ten days ago with a tumour on her spleen and a mate told me to join here to look for another dog but it looks a good site so hopefully will be a regular on here.
