i totally agree that some people do go too far...buit it is a forum and everyone is entiteled to their opinion...i just think there are ways to put your opinion across without seeming to bully or put someone down that has a diff opinion to you...thats called a healthy debate...i dont care what people think but id say alot are put off from commenting on posts ..you only have to see the amount of people reading posts compared to the number of comments left to see this. On the other hand some of the light hearted threads are fun sometimes and its good to have a laugh and dont want to loose this.A

yeah this is exactly what annoys me about media coverage about hunting they try to make out most people that hunt have a horse and that its country versus town thing and its rubbish but it totally works into the anti hunting peoples hands.. -

Tweed???????? Any self respecting hunter wears realtree to all gamefairs and lurcher shows Hunitng with hounds seen as an upper class sport? I'd say to those opposed or indifferent to hunting then yes, they see it as an upper class sport and in my opinion most have more of a problem with the supposed "toffs" than hunting itself. For those of us who have been hunting we know that folk from all walks of life follow hounds good point...bout people being more opposed to what they see as a rich sport than hunting...i used to get that alot at school cos had horses and hunted... -

yeah i dont find it too bad either...just i find in the media or people that dont hunt assume that people that hunt are snobby and i would have thought that went out with the dark ages to me is just a normal hobby.. -

who do you hunt with been with alot of hunts in the area but last season was rockwood harriers as they local and i dont have a car..they arent always great.. -

there are alot of foot packs in britain too just not publisised as much..and i think they like it that way as they are more about workin the hounds etc i much prefer foot packs myself.There are some great mounted packs but are a few bad ones that are more about takin the horses for a nice ride unfortunatly..i like the idea of having a hound and meeting up we had a few retired hunting hounds and puupy walked..i wish i had gone hunting when i lived in ireland. -
Well i know some people will maybe think this is a crap thread..but well least im not talking gay sex like alot seem to be ...lol. Anyway i was wondering what peoples views were on hunting with hounds as an upperclass sport. I have followed hounds since the age of 6 and my parents and we are totally normal and working class, and i know most people that hunt know that the 'upper class label' is rubbish. Most people that follow on foot and some on horses are totally normal people not rich at all , plus the foot and fell packs dont even have horse followers that are traditionaly seen as the ric

hopefully she grow out of it.Even if she doesnt we got a retired harrier at the end of his hunting life and when he went to vets hed had a heart murmer, prob his whole life and he had been a good hunting hound thats why they rehomed him..and he lived another five years with us ...so dont worry too much
