The ridgeback bitch that was originally used came from across the pond when a bloke moved over here. She was a 100% working dog. I dont want a debate im just asking if anyone else has experienced this breed
I pinky, I not 100% sure what the sire was called tbh. Me and pink have just bred a litter of borders from his bitch to my dog. Got a similar lakey in at the min. The 1 in the photo got pinched
A few years ago a mate of mine had a dog of this breeding, same colour as a ridgeback even had a small ridge in his coat. What a dog he was, hard as nails and a good dog on all quarry. Anyone else ever experienced this cross?
I bred a litter of borders both parents excellent workers and I gave all 5 of the pups away. Only bred them coz lads were wanting them. They all went to himes where they will get the work they need so am happy
Did your bitch have pups jossa
yes mate I had a litter 2 bitches 3 dogs, I gifted them all to lads who will give them the work they need. They were all well put together pups so hopefully they will make the grade.
Good read, I myself would just hold him back like you have done. I normally let my young dogs have a look at about 12 month then leave them til they are about 15-16 month that's just my opinion. Atb with the pup.
3 of them are spoken for, they are all going to working homes I will probs keep a dog back then there will be 2 left. I was very surprised when she had 6. Cheers lads
Early hours of this morning I went to check on my border bitch as I new she was due to pup and to my surprise there was she was with 6 strong pups. 3 dogs and 3 bitches. I own both parents and they are both good earth dogs so hopefully the pups will be the same. The sire is my good dog judd so if they turn out half as good as him they will be decent dogs.
He's getting on real well, he's real hard infact he's to hard for his own good got to be careful were u put him etc cause he might not come out alive. I have just lined my border bitch with him so hopefully they might produce some good dogs. But same again she likes to tackle her quarry.
