  1. I think it is likely a sedge warbler, with an outside chance of being a garden warbler (they normally build higher up though) - I cannot be sure from the photo
  2. I came home this weekend with two pairs of gloves, a bag of old carrots (for daughters guinea pigs) and a 4 flat mushrooms ... not my usual type of finds
  3. Simple answer Bryn - no-one! In my book, folks earn trust and respect. Call me pessimistic, but it has worked out better for me over the years to apply this logic
  4. Ditto, seems to be following a fractured link to load pages

  12. The Kness style killer traps are very good, Shropshire, at least I have found them to be. I was wary of their plastic construction at first, being a bit of a traditionalist, but they soon outperformed my expectations. They come prebaited but I also used margarine and peanut butter as bait, and they worked very well indeed. Try a few
  13. They did have smooth, padded and rubber jaw options for gins, for 50 years before they banned them ...
  14. It is the orientation of the opposing jaws - lesser surface area, extra power = greater killing pressure on contact Excellent traps but they lost favour as they were not approved for tunnel use, money rabbits in holes, limiting their versatility OTC
  15. All the Fenn Mk 4 needs is a stronger spring - simple
  16. I get that accidents can and do happen, but how can you effectively stop a hedgehog, polecat, rabbit or mink going into a trap designed to catch something else? How can the Approval Orders be so prescriptive in some areas and so vague in others?
  17. But wouldn't that contravene the Approval Order ... ie catching a species not approved by the legislation ... ?
  18. I agree that they look absurd but has anyone actually tried them?
  19. Not quite true TC, the longest lasting highs are those that stall as a result of a blocked upper atmosphere
  20. But to confuse matters more there are two types of Juby and two types of Imbra ... To all intents and purposes anyway!
  21. But I can't really say at the moment - my book will explain everything when I eventually get round to printing it!
