  1. Good idea Kay - but not pin this poisoned thread with the inflamatory comments that make this site the sh*t slinging place that it is OTC
  2. Don't sell yourself short Hannah - you are fairly good behind that camera too ... OTC
  3. That's a cop out - a halfway house - neither red nor brown OTC
  4. HP Brown on a bacon sarnie - no question But I do like ketchup on a burger but nothing else OTC
  5. With a shotgun in the photo ... OTC
  6. No - you can use them straight away. I think they sell the Flatpack half barrel traps on that site too. Very good service and good quality traps OTC
  7. Fenn scissor traps from here http://www.fourteenacre.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/shopindex_files/FourteenacreTrapShop.htm OTC
  8. Do you starve yourself for 24 hours before you go ferreting to make yourself keen? Then there's no need to do that to your ferrets either Feed them as you usually do, with a drink before you go out in the morning, and during the session too. OTC
  9. I have it on good authority that HUGE forests and most of the woodlands owned by the Forestry Commission have ALREADY been sold - all sneaky quiet and underhand I really don't know what to make of this world, and this government anymore, it makes me wonder what priorities are .... And then to find out Rooney is on £250,000 a week is just taking the p*** OTC
  10. I would try a couple before you buy loads, to see if they work for you. They are good in the right circumstances, but then so are some of the other approved traps which might be more versatile, and more easily adapted to other trapping situations (Fenn, BMI Magnum). The WCS Tube Trap was sold for many years in the USA as the 'Mytling Tunnel Trap' and earned its reputation as a useful trap there, which is why it was adapted for use here in the UK. I used one in a run between old straw bales for years and it did well in that type of site, I also lowered one in a loop of string below a br
  11. Too right - it has been a busy few days hasn't it mate? No-one seems to know the answers either - the head shed are as baffled by the ambiguous small print as we are The redundancy packages are laughable too - have you seen them yet? I hope that they get what they want from voluntary redundnacies and not have to stitch lads up who want to stay in.
  12. I think I am right in saying she was commissioned in 1982 or thereabouts. She has a lot of sea miles on her clock but it is in good material state. It will be drain covers and razor blades by Xmas though ... OTC
  13. I was on this Ark Royal - the one before went out in 1979 I think - a bit before my time ... It is/was a good ship but will soon be gone, they are starting to strip her down next week. It was a big shock for all sailors as no-one, including the First Sea Lord, knew anything about it being scrapped until he read it in the paper on Tuesday morning like everyone else OTC
  14. That 'Aid' given to Somalia, Yemen and Pakistan is no more than blood money used to help stabilise those fragile areas to save us having to kick off there as well as Afghan and our other trouble spots I will be sad to see the old Ark go - I have spent 6 years of my life on that thing ... OTC
  15. B&W for me (but if it has been cropped, I would have liked to have seen some more watery foreground for the reflections in the still water) OTC
  16. Glad you have made some use of them, and they look nice where they are OTC
  17. Great shots Kay - I like the moodiness of them. The monochrome/sepia/B&W adds to that I used to have an old collie at the farm years ago like that, always looked (and smelt) like he needed a wash. I saw him once trotting back up from the village with a freshly baked loaf in his mouth - he was a bit of a chancer with the local bitches too ... OTC
  18. Yes of course - but that one is my favourite of them all OTC
  19. 'Winter on Plough' - I just cannot stop looking at that photo Perfect! OTC
  20. I will wait to see what is published on Tuesday before I pass comment I think OTC
  21. Quite simply - a phenomenal piece of work - incredible photographs OTC
  22. Otters don't like to cross land? Your thoughts gentlemen please. Without seeing the evidence for myself I am inclined to think it is almost certainly the work of an otter, or a pair of otters. Whatever it was it would have left plenty of sign which would stand out clearly to an experienced eye to prove what, how and when it all happened ... and as for them not travelling over land - well that shows how little those so-called 'experts' really know doesn't it? OTC
